Hotels like Bisma Eight are all about fastidious attention to detail and while we put the room through a thorough inspection, we couldn’t find a speck of dust out of place.
The maintenance also seems to be very proactive and you’ll find everything in good working order for the duration of your stay.
Sleep Quality
Perhaps, the most important aspect of a hotel room is the sleep that it offers, and at Bisma Eight, we found the beds to be large, comfortable, with good mattresses and pillows, the rooms have decent ventilation and there’s no noise carry.
In short, we slept like untroubled children and so will you.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We felt that the staff here were very good and they typified Balinese friendliness and warmth and combined it with first rate professionalism.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in and check-out at most hotels in Bali is much of a muchness not entirely hassle free but only a minor stop on the way to your room.
They can provide luggage storage when you check out if you want to explore Ubud before heading to the airport or your next destination.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
We found the bathrooms to be decent and reasonably well appointed with some nice toiletries included. The water pressure’s not quite as strong as we’d like, but it’s not bad, either.
Value For Money
We felt that Bisma Eight provided value for money and that it was reasonably priced for what it delivers.
There are a lot of hotels in this price bracket in the Ubud area though, and most of them deliver equivalent experiences.
Food And Beverage Execution
The onsite restaurants are excellent and for us a real highlight is the rooftop Copper which does amazing barbecue food and provides lovely views over the countryside.
Their resident mixologist is a dab hand at creating wonderful flavours in a glass too and we’d be happy to return at any time to eat and drink at Bisma Eight.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
The location’s not too bad, you’re only a short drive from Ubud’s many attractions, but it’s not in walking distance.
Overall, that leads to a quieter place to rest and that’s a good thing.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We felt that the facilities and amenities lived up to the expectations laid down by the marketing team, it’s just a bit of a shame that there weren’t more of them.
Overall “Personality”
There are a lot of upscale hotels in Bali and while some of them really stand out in terms of their look and feel others sort of blend in.

Summary: Our Overview Of Bisma Eight
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Bisma Eight, we might wish that it were a little closer to the centre of Ubud or that the rooftop restaurant weren’t quite so noisy late at night, but these are minor niggles.
If you want a good place to stay in Ubud and don’t mind paying a premium for it, we feel that Bisma Eight is going to tick all the boxes.
