Jimbaran is one of Bali’s quieter areas, famous for its excellent seafood and relaxed pace of life, but it’s close enough to Kuta, Canggu, Seminyak and Uluwatu to use as a base to explore Bali.
Temple Hill Residence Villa is a villa complex that offers a refined upmarket experience for a more reasonable price tag than most.
Our review team was curious to find out if they could really deliver the kind of holiday that we’d want for the money, and this is what they learned in Temple Hill Residence Villa, Jimbaran, Bali.

We felt that this was one of the top resorts in Jimbaran.
Cleanliness and Maintenance

It’s always challenging to keep a villa complex as spotless as a hotel room, and we think they do a good job of things at Temple Hill Residence, though occasionally you discover something has been overlooked.
We also felt that the maintenance team did an adequate job of things, but perhaps could be a little more proactive.
Sleep Quality

We certainly couldn’t argue with the sleep we got at Temple Hill Residence; the beds are large and very comfortable. The mattresses are very good, and the pillows are just the way we like them.
We found the nights to be silent, and the rooms are sealed properly against light leaks. You will get a fabulous night’s sleep here.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture

We expect nothing less than world-class service in high-end resorts in Bali, and we’re rarely disappointed.
We certainly weren’t at Temple Hill Residence Villa, where the staff will make certain you have an amazing stay.
Check-in/Check-out Experience

The check-in and check-out experiences are functional enough, and this resort isn’t big enough to have you waiting around for very long, either.
You can store luggage with the hotel if you need to for a short time before or after check-in or check-out.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality

We thought the bathrooms were excellent. The water pressure was possibly the best we’ve encountered on the island.
The facilities are large, and the toiletries and towels are first-rate. We really liked conducting our morning ablutions here.
Value For Money

We’re not sure why, but as we went to press, the price of a night in Temple Hill Residence came tumbling down across the board.
Assuming those prices remain stable for the long-term, this place is tremendous value for money; however, if they go back up to the $500+ per night they used to be? Then, we’d say it was good but not exceptional value for money.
Food And Beverage Execution

We enjoyed the food and drinks here, and they look good in your Instagram feed, but they aren’t quite good enough to make you want to return just to visit the food.
Bali is an amazing gastronomic destination, and there’s a lot of competition for great good and drinks.
Location & Immediate Surroundings

This is a nice location in Jimbaran, attractive and safe. However, there’s not much to do in the area itself, and you will need transportation to get to more interesting parts of Bali.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

We felt that all the facilities that were promised in the marketing materials were present and accounted for, but we also felt that we’d like a bit more of them.
You really need to make your own entertainment or use this place as a base for exploration if you’re looking for a bit of adventure on your holiday here.
Overall “Personality”

We felt that while this resort is attractive, it doesn’t really have an identity that stays with you. It looks good in pictures, but we doubt you’ll remember it in years to come.
Summary: Our Overview Of Temple Hill Residence Villa

We thought that this villa complex was excellent value for money, and we had a good time here, though our team would have liked a little more to do on the site itself.
If you’re looking for a relaxing break in Jimbaran, this is a great place for it, but if you want something a little more involved, you might want to choose something else.
Grading: Very Good/Happy to Return
Other good options for Jimbaran include Kayumanis and ASAI Villas.
FAQs
Is Temple Hill Residence Villa Family Friendly?
Yes, Temple Hill Residence Villa is a popular spot for families, and it is family-friendly. However, while the villas themselves are nicely appointed, they all have a private pool; there are no real special facilities for kids.
There are plenty of things to do in the areas around the villa, though you may need transport to reach some of these spots.
Final Thoughts On Temple Hill Residence Villa
Temple Hill Residence Villa is exceptional value for money if you’re looking for an upscale villa complex with lovely villas and aren’t too fussed about a bunch of additional amenities.
It’s a short walk from Jimbaran Bay and some of the best seafood restaurants in Bali and quite probably the world, and a short drive from many of the best tourist spots on the island, too.
We’d be happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing break or a base to explore Bali from, but it’s not ideal if you want a resort with lots of stuff to do onsite.
