Sometimes, you need a hotel for the convenience of the location rather than for the joys of the hotel itself, and if you’re flying into or out of Ngurah Rai International Airport early or late, then you might need the Quest Hotel Kuta.

Cleanliness and Maintenance
This is a very clean and decently maintained hotel, and you’ll find that the rooms are almost spotless.
There are a few parts of the hotel that are a little rundown but they won’t impair the enjoyment of your stay.
Sleep Quality
You will get a good night’s sleep here; the rooms aren’t huge, but the beds are comfortable, and the linens, pillows, etc., are pleasant enough.
We also found there to be almost no noise or light pollution, which is very handy given this is a busy part of the island.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We felt that the staff here had a wonderfully positive attitude, and they worked hard to ensure that we had a good experience.
They pay attention to the small details, and that’s always a good thing.

Checking in and checking out is easy enough here, and they’ll be happy to help you with your bags if you need them moved to the room.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are decent enough; they’re never going to be something you’d travel for, but they’re solid hotel bathrooms in the manner of business hotels globally.
Value For Money
We think this place offers good value for money; it’s pretty cheap for what is essentially an airport hotel (though it’s not as close to the airport as some of the other airport hotels).
But it doesn’t have enough to offer to be considered outstanding value for money, either.
Food And Beverage Execution
They serve perfectly adequate food and drinks of the fashion found in many a business hotel around the world.
None of it is memorable or standout, but it fills a gap and ensures that you can grab a bite with confidence before you leave.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
This isn’t a terrible location, sure it’s not the prettiest spot in Bali, but you’re in walking distance of plenty of restaurants, warungs, cafes, etc. and not too far from most major shopping malls in the area.
We doubt most people will ever find out, as this really is a rest stop on the way to/from the airport, but overall, there are worse places to be in the world.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
This is a very basic hotel, and there aren’t many facilities on offer; those that are provided are pretty good, but you would certainly hope there’d be more to do if you were going to stay longer than a day.
However, most people will use Quest Hotel Kuta for a single night before or after a flight, so that’s not the end of the world.
Overall “Personality”
Sadly, Quest Hotel Kuta is one of the most soulless-looking buildings that we’ve ever seen. It’s nice inside, but even the pool area looks bleak and concrete.
Of course, we can forgive this because it’s relatively cheap and close to the airport, but really, this is a business traveller’s hotel more than a holidaymaker’s hotel.

Quest Hotel Kuta is a good business hotel and a decent place to sleep before or after a flight; it’s never going to set the world on fire, nor is it trying to.
We’d be happy to recommend it within that scope, but we certainly wouldn’t plan a holiday in this place.

Is Quest Hotel Kuta Family Friendly?
Yes, Quest Hotel is family-friendly in that children are welcome to stay with their parents or guardians, though they may be charged as adults depending on their ages.
However, there are no child-friendly facilities at this hotel and certainly no kids’ club or babysitting services.
Given that the only reason to stay at this hotel is going to be a business meeting in the area or to catch an early flight, or for a quick rest stop after a late arrival, this is not going to be an issue.
But we wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than a night as a family.
Final Thoughts On Quest Hotel Kuta
Quest Hotel Kuta is never going to top anyone’s list of pretty hotels, but it’s functional, and that’s more than enough for a hotel that most people will use for a single night when arriving or leaving Bali.
The pool and restaurant are decent enough, and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably attractive.
Overall, if you need to get some rest near Ngurah Rai International Airport before moving on or leaving Bali, this is as good a place as any to get it. But we couldn’t recommend spending more than one night here unless you’re engaged in business in Kuta and need a meeting spot.
