There’s no doubt that the Pullman brand is one of the most substantial hotel brands in the world, and in Bali, you’ll find the Pullman in the beach resort town of Legian.
Legian is not far from Kuta and Seminyak and tends to offer a slightly different vibe with less emphasis on partying and more on family fun.
So, our team was sent out to find out if this place lives up to the branding, or whether you should try somewhere else in Bali, and this is what they found.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

This is an older hotel, and there are minor issues with both maintenance and cleanliness, nothing that’s going to spoil your good time, but it’s noticeable all the same.
If you do encounter any real issues, they will be resolved quickly as you’d expect from a brand-name hotel like this one.
Sleep Quality

We found the rooms to be excellent with large beds and plenty of ventilation. The bedcovers, mattresses, etc., were super comfortable.
We were also impressed by the lack of noise and light in these rooms. Given that this is a premium beachfront hotel, it would be easy for guests to disturb other guests.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture

We thought the service was excellent throughout the hotel and were very happy with the efforts the staff put in to resolve any minor issues.
As you’d expect from a 5-star high-end brand, the training is first class and everyone is supremely professional.
Check-in/Check-out Experience

We imagine that most check-ins go without a hitch, but ours was delayed, and we had to wait around at the front desk for ages before our room was available, long after the 3 p.m. deadline had been and gone.
However, check out was much easier, and we had no issues getting out the door and underway.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality

We thought that the bathrooms were very nice, with adequate water pressure, plenty of hot water and nice toiletries.
However, the towels weren’t as nice as we’re used to in Bali’s top resorts, and it seems an odd thing to economise on.
Value For Money

This hotel is very good value for money, but not exceptional. The trouble is, there are a lot of resorts in Bali competing in this price range, and you really have to go a long way to stand out.
The hotel needs a bit of refreshing if it wants to continue to compete at the highest level.
Food And Beverage Execution

We also felt that the food and drinks were fairly standard 5-star hotel fare rather than anything exceptional, which is a bit of a shame.
Nobody was sorry they’d eaten here, but none of us would come back just for the food, either.
Location & Immediate Surroundings

Legian is an odd place; it’s safe and pleasant, but sort of past its prime, too. You’re very close to the other beach towns, though, and Legian Beach is lovely.
You’ll also find this is a good place to act as a base of operations for properly exploring Bali. Overall, it’s a great little spot that’s often overlooked.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

We felt that the facilities here were very good, and while nothing was quite “best in class”, you certainly won’t be disappointed by the amount of stuff there is to do and the resources on hand to give your holiday a real boost.
Overall “Personality”

The Pullman is a very nice hotel, and we suspect that most people who stay here will look back fondly on their experience; however, if you’re a regular in 5-star resorts, it does feel a touch corporate, too.
Summary: Our Overview Of Pullman Bali Legian Beach

The Pullman Bali Legian Beach is a very good hotel in a location that’s often passed over for Kuta, Seminayk, Jimbaran or Canggu but which can hold its own with the best of them.
Overall, we’d be happy to recommend it to anyone, it’s good value for money with plenty of facilities.
Grading: Very Good

Final Thoughts On Pullman Bali Legian Beach
There are a few minor issues with Pullman Bali Legian Beach, mostly relating to its age, but there’s no doubt that it remains a first-rate resort.
Also, with the current global issues and the declining popularity of the Kuta/Legian area, it’s very competitively priced.
