Cleanliness and Maintenance
We felt that the overall work of the cleaning and maintenance staff was good, and that despite a little bit of “jungle mess”, things were in good order.
However, there is a safety issue here; some of the villa access is up steep stairs with no railings, which is going to be a real worry if you’re staying here with kids or older adults with motion impairments.
Sleep Quality
This area is very quiet and mostly, there are no issues with getting a good night’s sleep, but there is very little soundproofing on the buildings, so if there is noise, you’re going to know about it.
Otherwise, the bed is comfortable, the room is airy, and all the attendant items like mattresses, pillows, bedding, etc., are very good.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We felt that the staff were a genuine highlight of a stay here, and they are full of that warm, kind Balinese hospitality that people come to this island for.
We also found them to be professional and able to sort out issues as they arose rather than seeking management intervention.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in and check-out are perfectly serviceable experiences; you’re not going to write home about them, but you’ll get into (and then out of) your rooms without any issues.
It’s not a big resort, so queues are unlikely, and the staff are very helpful if you have any questions, etc.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathroom is very nice, and the fittings are good, as are the toiletries and towels. However, they are a bit of a mosquito magnet.
Now, there’s not much they can do about mosquitoes, given the location, but it’s still not entirely what you want on holiday.
Value For Money
We thought that this resort was good value for money, and with a little attention to small details, it could be great value for money.
It’s important to bear in mind that Ubud is a major holiday destination and you have a lot of choice when it comes to resorts, always hunt around for the one that ticks the right boxes for your holiday.
Food And Beverage Execution
The food and drinks are decent enough for hotel fare, but they don’t rise above the background noise in Ubud, which is a discerning foodie’s destination.
They have endless local warungs, rubbing shoulders with fine dining spots, and honestly? We’d recommend exploring those rather than eating in this resort.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Ubud is not just up and coming; it’s arrived as one of Bali’s top destinations. That means there’s a ton of stuff to do, particularly cultural highlights and some “hippy” stuff (with a wealth of yoga studios).
The downside is that because it’s popular, it’s often crowded, and traffic in and out of this town can be a genuine horror show.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We felt that the hotel delivered on the facilities that it promised in its marketing materials and that they were in good shape.
However, we’d like a few more things to do at this price point.
Overall “Personality”
We think this place is memorable and mostly for the right reasons, it’s not the sort of place that will stay in your memory forever, but you will certainly talk about it when you mention your Bali holiday and that’s good enough.

Let’s be fair, the biggest challenge with staying at this resort is remembering when to stop the n’s and d’s in the name of the place.
Overall, it’s a lovely place with an authentic Balinese vibe, which is the essence of a holiday in the cultural heartlands of Ubud.
We’d be happy to recommend this place to anyone, except for families who need a babysitter or a kids’ club to keep the little ones entertained.
