Cleanliness and Maintenance
You can’t fault the cleaning and maintenance team, though they do have an exceptionally easy job with only a single villa to look after on this site.
Everything is spotless, and we felt that everything looked well-maintained. During our visit, we had no issues with anything.
Sleep Quality
This is a pretty quiet area of Canggu, but there is some construction work going on locally that can disturb your rest in the earlier part of the day.
Other than that, the bed is super comfortable and very nicely designed, and there’s no real light pollution entering the room.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
There is an on-site presence here, but given that it’s a single villa, that doesn’t mean they are around all of the time.
The ME Group has 3 other properties around this area, and they may be called away to attend to those during your stay. It shouldn’t be a big deal, but it might be frustrating in an emergency.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
It’s one villa. As you might expect, there is no effort whatsoever when it comes to checking in, you turn up, you’re in, that pretty much covers it.
Leaving is also super easy, and you won’t have any issues handing in the keys and jumping in your vehicle to the next destination.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathroom is just fine, and there are some basic toiletries (nothing special) if you need to use them, but we figure if you’re renting a cheap villa in Canggu, you’re probably (like us) packing your own anyway.
Value For Money
There was a time when the price on this villa was even a little high for Canggu, but today? It’s outstanding value for money, and if you want the Bali villa experience and don’t have the kind of cash required to go wild? You can’t beat this place.
We’d say that it’s really a steal at this price, and we imagine that they’re regularly booked out in advance, so book early if you want to stay here.
Food And Beverage Execution
Snacks and a breakfast are all that you get, and while they’re just fine, they’re nothing to get excited about, either.
Amolas Cafe is right next door, though, and that’s very good and super cheap if you want breakfast, lunch, dinner or a beer. And there are plenty of other options in the neighbourhood, too.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
It’s Canggu, what can we say? This is a nice spot, away from the busiest roads, not far from the beach and in a very safe area. Even the roaming dogs in this area are kind of sweet.
You’re not far from some lovely rice fields, and if you want to explore Bali, Canggu is a great location to do it from.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
Everything they advertise is present and accounted for and in decent shape, but really, we would like just a little more to do, though we recognise that at this price, beggars can’t always be choosers.
Overall “Personality”
It’s a nice but slightly utilitarian villa with a small pool in Canggu, you’re going to enjoy staying here, but we doubt that you’ll be talking about it for years to come.
It’s good, honest, holiday home stuff, rather than spectacular, mind-blowing resort material.
