It’s never going to be perfect when you live in a tent. It’s that simple. The outside world comes marching right through the door just after the cleaning staff have chased it out.
However, you’re not likely to find a glamping place that’s cleaner and better maintained than Sandat Glamping Tents.
Sleep Quality
Mostly, the sleep at Sandat Glamping Tents is excellent, and the beds are wonderfully luxurious, and while nature can intrude, mostly it doesn’t do so in obtrusive ways.
However, there are other places in the vicinity, and sometimes they make so much noise that you won’t be able to sleep until they stop making noise.

We found the staff to be excellent here with a real focus on delivering a great customer experience and with the kind of training and professionalism that you’d expect for a place in this price bracket.

Check-in at Sandat Glamping Tents is perfectly adequate, and we felt that we were swiftly welcomed and ushered into a tent.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
It’s an outdoor-ish venue, and that means you will find that occasionally the outdoor life comes indoors when you’re showering or otherwise involved in bodily functions.
Other than that, these bathrooms are nicely equipped, and the towels, etc., are very good.
Value For Money
$200 USD ($320 AUD) is quite a lot of money to spend on a night in a tent, and we felt that the Sandat Glamping Tents provided great but not quite excellent value for money.
After all, while the experience of sleeping in nature is a break from the norm, you can find a room in a 5-star hotel at this price, easily.
Food And Beverage Execution
We thought that the Sandat Restaurant was very good, though not quite on a par with Bali’s finest restaurants, and we enjoyed eating there.
However, you’re in Ubud, and there’s no doubt that there are a lot of other great places to eat in the local area.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Ubud is one of Bali’s most popular destinations, and it’s a safe and pleasant place, though much busier than it once was.
However, that busyness means that you will need to spend a lot of time in traffic if you want to venture beyond the local area. We’d recommend staying in Ubud for as long as it takes to see what’s local, and then moving on for this reason.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities at this location are as promised, and they’re all in decent condition, too. However, given the fairly steep price tag for sleeping in a tent, we’d quite prefer a few more facilities.
It’s not a deal breaker, by any means, but if you want to hole up here for more than 2-3 days, you might get a bit bored of things.
Overall “Personality”
This is a great place to stay and we can say that you’re very much likely to remember it with fondness in the future.
Yes, there are places that stick out a little more here, but most of them are far more expensive than Sandat Glamping Tents are.
