Cleanliness and Maintenance
Let’s be upfront about this: if you don’t like lizards, this may not be your idea of a nice resort. While the cleaning and maintenance teams do excellent work, this is a resort in the jungle.
And for whatever reason, lizards really like the place and come strolling in whenever they feel like it. Don’t worry, they’re harmless, but if you’re phobic, this is not the place for you.
Sleep Quality
This is a nice, peaceful place in the middle of a quiet area, and the rooms are nearly noise-free, and the blackout curtains are great, too.
However, we should note that there are still lizards running about the place; they don’t make any noise, but if you know they’re there, they’re there.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
This villa complex has an exceptional staff who really seem to be motivated to deliver a first-rate guest experience.
We found them to be kind, knowledgeable and helpful as well as empowered to get things done rather than escalate minor problems.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in and check-out are perfectly functional, and given this isn’t a big complex, you’ll be in your rooms before you know it.
Leaving is also very easy, and you’ll easily be able to find ongoing transportation while you check out. Ubud’s busyness makes that a certainty.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathroom was amazing, big and spacious with more than enough hot water and water pressure for a thorough and pleasurable scrub down each day.
The supplied towels and toiletries were excellent too, and added a certain je ne sais quoi to the whole experience.
Value For Money
There is a huge amount of competition in Ubud at this price point, and that means we rated Asvara Villa Keliki at great value for money.
The absence of an on-site restaurant was a key factor in the lack of an excellent rating.
Food And Beverage Execution
And yes, as we’ve just said, one of the major drawbacks of staying at the Asvara Villa Keliki is that there’s no on-site restaurant facility.
It’s not a holiday-breaker given that you’re in Ubud and surrounded by great cafes, warungs, restaurants, etc., but we don’t think we’re the only ones who appreciate a little convenience while we’re on holiday, either.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Ubud is one of Bali’s most popular tourist destinations, and that’s because the town has so much to see and do. You’ve got palaces, art markets, yoga shalas, waterfalls, monkey forests, temples, dance shows and much more.
However, all that good stuff in one place often leads to crowding at the best spots and to some of the worst traffic on the island.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We felt that everything that was promised in the marketing literature was delivered and to a high standard, but we have to note that there simply isn’t very much of it.
Overall “Personality”
This is a very attractive and pleasant place to stay, let down by a lack of amenities and restaurant facilities. Overall, we think you’ll be very satisfied with a stay here and will tell people about it when you get home.
But it’s missing the sort of things that help make it memorable a few years down the road.

Yes, Asvara Villa Kelike by Ini Vie is a family-friendly resort. However, while children of all ages are welcome to stay with their parents or guardians, we should note that charging is opaque, and it’s not clear when a child will be considered an “adult” for billing purposes.
We strongly advise that you check the small print before agreeing to any stay here. However, it is clear that in the same room, children under 2 stay for free and a crib can be supplied for free if available, children under 12 stay for free but only if they use existing bedding and kids over 12 in the same room must use an extra bed and pay for it.
This hotel does offer paid babysitting services; however, it’s fair to say there are no other child-focused amenities.

We liked Asvara Villa Keliki by Ini Vie very much, but it’s fair to say that the location isn’t ideal, and it’s a long way out of Ubud if you want to spend your evenings in town.
We also felt that anyone with a phobia of the local lizards (which are absolutely harmless) might prefer not to stay here. There is an abundance of them running about the place.
