You only have to see one picture of this resort to know that it’s a stunning spot where you’re going to grab some Instagram snaps that really make your friends envious.
Munduk is an area in North Bali that is famous for its waterfalls, and if you love trekking, it’s a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beach towns and enjoy some time communing with nature.
So, our team were very much looking forward to getting away from Canggu for a while and sampling what Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort has to offer, and this is what they learned there.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

We felt that the attention to cleanliness was first-rate and that everything had clearly been cleaned properly throughout the resort.
However, there were a couple of minor maintenance issues, and while these were fixed immediately when we notified the management, a more proactive approach might have avoided the trouble entirely.
Sleep Quality

We can’t imagine not sleeping like a baby in this resort; not only are the beds generous with comfortable mattresses and top-quality pillows, but you’re far from any real source of noise.
We didn’t notice any noise leaks in our rooms, and we felt like we could sleep for days on end if we hadn’t set our alarms.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture

One thing we’ve come to expect in top-quality places in Bali is amazing service, and they didn’t let us down at Munduk Moding Plantation.
Everyone is super helpful and empowered to deliver the service you need, rather than having to run everything up the chain for permission.
Check-in/Check-out Experience

The check-in process is pretty straightforward, and we found that we weren’t kept waiting very long at all before check-in and checking out was completely painless.
They can store your luggage if you need them to, but we doubt you will, given that this location is pretty remote from anywhere else.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality

We liked the bathrooms very much and they certainly had enough space and the toiletries are excellent. However, the water pressure wasn’t perfect which is pretty standard in Bali.
Value For Money

We felt that overall, this resort is fabulous value for its fairly reasonable price tag and while you can spend an absolute fortune on the presidential quarters, you’re going to have an amazing time even if you book a more reasonably priced suite.
Food And Beverage Execution

They have two onsite restaurants, MiMPi and Warung Bongkot and they do a very good job of serving Asian, International and local cuisines. They also have the option for their chef to create a personalized dining experience based on the ingredients of North Bali.
Location & Immediate Surroundings

The location is beautiful, the countryside is awesome but there is a downside to this, it’s in the middle of nowhere. You can’t pop out to a shop or wander off to a nearby attraction. You need to arrange transportation with the hotel or bring your own.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

They understand that this place is pretty remote and they’ve not only loaded it with features, amenities and things to do but they all live up to the promise in the marketing material too.
That’s a really good thing, and it helps set Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort apart from the competition.
Overall “Personality”

The resort is simply stunning, and the infinity pools here are among the best in Bali. We can’t imagine anyone forgetting their time at Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort. It’s fabulous.
Summary: Our Overview Of Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort

We love that they offer plenty of activities on the plantation, which makes it easy to stay entertained without having to deal with the hassle of transport in this relatively remote spot.

Yes, Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort is family-friendly. However, there are no child-specific facilities in this hotel, though the staff will be happy to help entertain your children by teaching them how to make towel animals and the like.
So, if your kids don’t mind making their own entertainment, the pool and gardens ought to be great, but if they need something more structured, you might want to look at a different style of resort.
Final Thoughts On Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort
If you want to spend a relaxing time in the Balinese countryside with amazing views and extraordinary infinity pools, this is the place to be.
Just remember that the location is pretty remote, though, so if you want to explore this area, you need your own transport or to arrange it in advance at the hotel (forget using Grab or Gojek here – there aren’t any drivers).
