Cleanliness and Maintenance
This place is kept extremely clean, as we’d expect for a single property. However, there’s no escaping that it’s also quite open to nature, and that means a bit more dust, jungle debris and the occasional bug too.
It’s no big deal, but if you’re squeamish about these things, it’s something you would need to come to terms with before you travel.
Sleep Quality
Assuming you enjoy the gentle hum of the jungle and rice fields while you sleep, you’re going to have an absolutely fabulous night’s sleep here.
The rooms are not noise-proof, but that really doesn’t matter when you’re this remote, just kick back in the big comfortable beds, close your eyes and relax.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
It may be a small place, but we found the staff here to be excellent. They will, of course, remember your names and do all they can to ensure that you have an amazing time during your Bali holiday.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
With only a single villa to deal with, the check-in process is handled inside the property, and it’s very smooth.
There’s no luggage storage at the end of your stay, but that’s not a big deal; you’re not going to leave here and then want to come back again. There’s nothing close by to justify it.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
We felt the bathrooms were very good. They were big enough to get ourselves washed in comfort, and there were nice towels.
The toiletries were only so-so, but we don’t mind that too muc,h as we always tend to travel with our own to avoid allergies.
Value For Money
If it wasn’t for the fact that there’s a two-night mandatory stay, we’d rate this as excellent value for money, but as is, we’re going with above average.
You’re certainly not going to be sorry that you spent some cash on this; it’s a genuinely unique experience that feels like connecting with Bali.
Food And Beverage Execution
They do offer breakfast, but it’s only free on the first day for some reason. It’s perfectly fine, but nothing too exciting, and after that, given the location, you can either eat in local warungs or do takeway or take advantage of the onsite kitchen facilities. We did the latter.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
This is an absolutely gorgeous location, and you couldn’t be safer. However, there’s very little within walking distance and you are going to need transportation if you want to see much else.
This probably won’t matter too much if it’s for a romantic getaway, but if you like to do a lot of stuff on holiday, it might.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilites and amenities are as promised. But let’s be fair about this, it’s one villa, they can’t deliver the same order of facilities as bigger hotels.
What is there is good, but there’s not that much.
Overall “Personality”
Incredible. It’s not often that you get to stay in a property that feels both unique and totally in-keeping with the characteristics of the island but this is just such a place.
You’ll be raving about this place for years to come and showing the photos to all your friends.

There’s nothing standard about a trip to Aura House Bali. It feels like an adventure and the area is sublimely beautiful.
If you’re looking for a change from the norm and a place to relax and just commune with nature and the original vibe of Bali, this is the place for you.

Yes, Aura House Bali is family-friendly in that there are no age restrictions on residents as long as they are with their parents.
They can provide cots for under-3s free of charge, and children may use all the facilities within the Aura House Grounds.
However, as a single villa, it has limited facilities, no kids’ club and no babysitting services. It’s fine for a family break doing something different, but you might prefer a place with more to do if you want to stay for more than a couple of days.

Aura House Bali is a spectacular place, and there’s no doubt that if you see it, you’ll fall in love with it. It’s one of the most attractive villas that we’ve ever seen.
However, because it’s a single one-off creation, it has limited facilities, and it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, so you’ll need to take food and make use of the kitchen, or you’ll be ordering a fair amount of takeout food.
Overall, we’d be happy to recommend Aura House Bali to anyone who wanted to stay there, with the proviso that they must be able to walk up the stairs in this property.
