Canggu is something of a challenge for Bali holidaymakers; everybody wants to be in this area because it has the best of almost everything. Beach clubs, restaurants, surfing, etc.
But that also means that it’s hard to get good value for money when picking a hotel, as things have become a little more expensive in recent years.
However, when we saw the price tag on a room at Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu, we were expecting great things, given that the Dijiwa Sanctuaries group is responsible for many nice properties in Bali. So, we went, and this is what we learned.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

This place is kept absolutely ship shape, and there’s not even a hint of dust in those hard-to-reach places that it’s easy for cleaners to neglect.
We also felt that the maintenance team worked very hard to ensure that everything was in perfect working order.
Sleep Quality

Some of the rooms in this hotel are a bit too close to the road, and there is definitely some noise bleed into those rooms. Others, towards the back of the hotel, don’t have this problem but seem to suffer from poor Wi-Fi.
Ignoring this, the beds are big and comfortable, and it’s easy to get a good night’s sleep.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture

Bali is world-renowned for its hospitality culture, and this place is no exception to the rule. You’ll find everyone is warm, welcoming, and kind.
If there are any issues, they will be dealt with professionalism and alacrity, which is all anyone can ask for.
Check-in/Check-out Experience

Checking in at this place is easy enough, and it’s not big enough for check-in to turn into some nightmare afternoon of queuing, either.
Check out is similarly simple, and you won’t have any problems leaving a couple of bags if you want to explore further after check out.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality

The bathrooms are nice enough, not the best we’ve ever seen, but of a decent size, with solid fixtures and fittings.
They supply some basic toiletries, and the towels are actually better than we’d expected for the room rate.
Value For Money

We thought that Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu was excellent value for money, and if you’re looking for a reasonably priced stay in this popular area, you can’t get much better than this.
Of course, if you have a bigger budget, you could find a place with a few more amenities on-site.
Food And Beverage Execution

The on-site restaurant is fine for snacks, coffee and the occasional meal, but it’s really nothing to get excited about either.
Fortunately, as you’re in Canggu, you’re surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Bali, and you won’t have to go far to find something superb.
Location & Immediate Surroundings

This is Canggu, and that means you have the island’s best shopping, nightlife, surfing, beach clubs, and more on your doorstep.
It’s also a great place to be based for exploring more of Bali from and particularly for heading down to the legendary Tanah Lot.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

The facilities are a touch on the meagre side, but everything that they promise will be there in their advertising is there.
Overall “Personality”
This is a very pleasant boutique hotel, but is it memorable? Probably not, and that’s not a bad thing. It’s the sort of place that you enjoy staying in, but where your friends, family, and holiday activities are the stars of the show.
Summary: Our Overview Of Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu

We very much enjoyed staying at Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu, and if you’re looking for a pleasant place to stay in the island’s most popular beach town, this is a great choice.
No, it’s not overflowing with facilities, so if you want a resort holiday, it’s not the right pick, but given you’re in the middle of Canggu, you don’t have to go far to find something to do.
Grading: Very Good
FAQs
Is Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu Family Friendly?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome at Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu as long as they are staying with parents or guardians.
Kids over the age of 7 are charged as adults, though, which is fairly competitive in this market. Kids under 2 can be provided with a cot at a charge. Extra beds are not available, though.
There are also no child-specific facilities, no kids’ club and no babysitting or child care services. That means if you want to stay here, your kids will need supervision all the time, as well as to be able to make their own entertainment.
Final Thoughts On Ecozy Dijiwa Canggu
This is a charming little resort in a very busy and expensive area, but without a big price tag. Sure, it could use a few more facilities, but it’s still a bargain.
If you want a base of operations to explore what Canggu has to offer and even to get out and about further abroad on the island, it’s fabulous value.
So, we’d be happy to recommend it to anyone on that basis; however, if you’re looking just to hole up at a resort, you might pick somewhere with a bit more to do.
