The big question for us was, could Regent Bali deliver something a bit different? Canggu’s vibe is more boutique and unique than nearby Seminyak’s, and standing out from the crowd is always a challenge.

It may be new, but that was no barrier to this hotel landing with a splash in our best oceanfront hotels list. This newbie to the Bali scene is also considered one of the best luxury resorts here.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
Being brand new certainly gives the maintenance team something of an edge when it comes to ensuring that nothing looks dated, faded or worn out.
But the cleaning team is equally as good, and no matter how much you move stuff around, we couldn’t find any trace of dust or dirt. It’s a first-rate spot.
Sleep Quality
This part of Canggu can be exceptionally noisy as it’s very close to some of the major nightlife venues in the area. However, we found that the Regent Bali’s rooms were completely soundproof, and we couldn’t hear a peep from the local clubs.
We also felt that the rooms were beautifully air-conditioned, had big comfortable beds with luxurious linens, pillows and mattresses, which led to an amazing night’s sleep.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We found the staff to be truly fabulous, very knowledgeable about the hotel and the local area and very much focused on ensuring that you have an exceptional stay.
This is what Bali does best, and Regent Bali is very much at the forefront of excellent service on an island where awesome service is pretty much guaranteed.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in and check-out experience is just find and you will be in your room very swiftly after arrival at the hotel.
Even if large groups arrive, there should be no delays whatsoever, and they will also be happy to hold your luggage after check-out if needed.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are the height of modern luxury, large and comfortable with excellent fixtures and fittings, and some lovely toiletries.
We confess that we’d like to have taken the towels home with us; we liked them so much.
Value For Money
We’d put the Regent Bali in the great value for money category. It is pricey, but we feel that you more than get what you pay for.
We couldn’t quite squeeze it into the excellent value for money bracket, but it’s not far off.
Food And Beverage Execution
The food and beverages are very good, though we couldn’t help but notice that they often provide huge portions where something a little smaller might have been in order.
However, while we enjoyed eating here, we can’t say that we felt motivated to return just for the food. Canggu has a world-class culinary scene, and there’s a lot of competition for your attention.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
The location on Jalan Batu Bolong is very close to Canggu’s most popular beach, Batu Bolong, and you can enjoy an exceptional number of shops, bars, restaurants, surf schools, etc., practically on the doorstep.
It is a safe area, though some caution must be taken late at night when the local clubs empty out onto the streets.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities at this hotel are very nice, and the on-site beach club is a superb touch, which does a lot to elevate your stay and ensure that you spend some quality time in the resort, rather than just rushing off to explore Bali.
Overall “Personality”
The Regent Bali is memorable for all the right reasons; the views of the beach and ocean are great, the facilities are epic, and the overall vibe is just right.
Sure, it’s not cheap, but that’s OK, it’s the sort of place that you’re still reminiscing about in 20 years when people ask you about Bali.
Summary: Our Overview Of Regent Bali
We can’t think of very many hotels in Canggu that are on a par with Regent Bali. This place has a lot going for it, and if they could just tweak the dining experience from good to great, it could be genuinely world-class.
Overall, we’d be happy to recommend staying here to absolutely anyone who wants to spend time in Canggu, has the budget and enjoys a fully featured resort to relax in as well as to use as a base for exploring the rest of the island.

Is Regent Bali Family Friendly?
Yes, Regent Bali is family-friendly. They have the Regent Kids Club, which means your children can enjoy supervised fun and make new friends.
There’s a kids’ pool, a kids’ menu in resort restaurants, and they supply free cribs and rollaway beds. However, only kids under the age of 13 may stay free.
There are also babysitting services and other activities that may appeal to children or the whole family, such as cultural tours and surfing lessons.
Overall, we can’t think of any reason that a family wouldn’t have a good holiday at Regent Bali.
Final Thoughts On Regent Bali
Regent Bali is brand new and swish, and has plenty of modern conveniences to keep you happy.
The onsite beach club isn’t FINNS (Canggu’s hottest beach club), but it’s a nice touch for some holiday chilling.
Our only real disappointment is the food; it’s very good, but it’s not quite world-class despite the multiple food and beverage outlets available.
Overall, though, we’d be happy to recommend Regent Bali to anyone looking for a bit of luxury in Bali’s most popular resort town, and we’d go back without hesitation.
