Our team found Swarga Suites to be one of the best in Canggu.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
There were some minor stains on the bed linen when we checked in, it was replaced pretty quickly when we noticed, but we still prefer a little more attention to detail.
Otherwise, things are pretty good in the cleanliness and maintenance department here.
Sleep Quality
Given how noisy this area can be, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms remain noise-isolated and easy to sleep in.
The beds are very nice and the airflow is good, keeping your cool and comfortable all night long.

Staff Attitude And Service Culture
Overall, the staff here are lovely, but there are a couple of things that caused us concern. One, we witnessed the security guards being pretty rude to a couple of guests, though we didn’t witness the whole incident, so the guests may have been at fault.
And two, they seem hyper-focused on money, to the detriment of service. Guests staying in the resort are not going to run away without paying for a drink. Relax a little.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in and check-out process is simple enough and you’ll soon be in your rooms after arriving. This isn’t the biggest resort, so don’t expect any real delays at reception.
Also, they can store luggage post-check out if you need it.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are excellent, big and spacious (the bath tubs are amazing), and the supplied toiletries and towels are first rate.
They’ve even got great water pressure, which can be a bit of a challenge here in Canggu.
Value For Money
We think Swarga Suites is good value for money, particularly for the location, and it could be excellent value for money if they just pay a little attention to some of the staff’s interactions with guests.
Food And Beverage Execution
We think the food and drinks are exceptional at Swarga Suites, and while they are not quite in the fine dining category, this is a hotel, not a restaurant.
Overall, we would definitely recommend the food here and we would even come to eat here if we weren’t staying in the hotel (and occasionally, we do).
Location & Immediate Surroundings
We love Canggu and we really love going to FINNS Beach Club and Swarga Suites are ideally located for enjoying some party times at the world’s best beach club.
The area is very safe and home to some of the island’s finest restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, etc., too. You can’t go wrong with this spot.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We think the Swarga Suites has a pretty good share of amenities, and they’re mostly in good condition, but there is certainly an emphasis on “pay now” that comes through when using services that aren’t included in the room rate.
That’s what stops this resort from getting the final mark out of 5 in this category.
Overall “Personality”
They’ve certainly got a Bali vibe going on here, and if the service culture were as good as the overall structure of this place, we’d rate this place as unforgettable.
As is, we’re going with “very good”; we think you’ll look back on this place fondly in the year to come, though you may not be raving about it as much as you could be.
