It’s not directly on the beachfront, but it’s only a 5-minute walk from the sand, and that’s not a bad thing, as it means it’s also away from the big nightlife spots around the beach too.

Cleanliness and Maintenance
We felt that the cleaning team and maintenance team did an excellent job, so why the middling rating?
Well, it’s the partial open-air design of the villas, because the bathroom is exposed to the elements, you’re going to get bugs, dust, and other stuff, not much they can do about that, to be fair.
Sleep Quality
Also, the open-air bathrooms seem to lead to a lot of noise leaking into the attached bedrooms, and that means you may find that if the nightlife is going crazy in this area, you have to wait until late for a good night’s sleep.
Otherwise, the bedrooms are very nice, the beds are big and comfy, and the air conditioning is excellent.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
The staff are absolutely fabulous, and we have no qualms in saying that the Ametis Villa has an exceptional service culture.
We’d happily stay here again, just to have these delightful folks around us, making our stay as nice as it was.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
You won’t have any real delays at check-in because this is such a small complex; even if everyone who was staying here all arrived at once, you’d be in your rooms in no time at all.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathroom is lovely, and we really enjoyed the outdoor vibe, but you can’t help wishing that the bath didn’t accumulate leaves, dust and bugs, etc.
It’s easy enough to rinse off, but if you’re super squeamish, it’s something to bear in mind before you book.
Value For Money
The Ametis Villa is not the cheapest hotel, and we felt that it represented good, but not great value for money.
We think they’d have to work out the issues with noise and cleanliness to get to that point.
Food And Beverage Execution
The on-site restaurant, Billy Ho, is one of Canggu’s finest fine dining restaurants, and the food is out of this world.
All the other food and drinks served at Ametis are of a similarly high standard, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend coming here just for the food.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
This is one of the most prime locations in Canggu, right by the island’s busiest beach – Batu Bolong. You have beach clubs, restaurants, cafes, bars, nightlife, shops and more within a very short distance.
It’s also a great location to explore the rest of Canggu and Bali from, and we’d be very happy to stay in this area.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We think the facilities are amazing and of really good quality; however, we did feel that a little too many things are chargeable extras rather than included in the room rate. Which saw us knock off a point in this category.
Overall “Personality”
Staying at the Ametis Villa complex makes you feel like you’ve joined the jet-setting elite. It’s very lovely, and it’s amazingly photogenic, to ensure your friends and family are a little jealous when poring over your holiday pics
Most of all, we feel that this place does enough to be a fond memory in the years to come.

Summary: Our Overview Of Ametis Villa
The Ametis Villa is a fabulous villa complex, and we’d love to go back again, but we can’t help but feel that a little more attention to detail is required here.
Overall, it’s a place we’d recommend but only to folks who aren’t light sleepers and really want this sort of luxury villa in this exact location.

Is Ametis Villa Family Friendly?
Ametis Villa is slightly family-friendly, in that children over the age of 12 years may stay with their family, and a sofa bed can be provided for children up to the age of 16 (at an extra charge).
However, the under-12s are strictly forbidden to stay here, and there are no real child-friendly facilities beyond the pool.
If you’re looking for a base with some older children, Ametis Villa is probably a good call, but if you want somewhere for the kids to play while you chill, this isn’t the place for you.
Final Thoughts On Ametis Villa
Ametis is a lovely resort and the onsite restaurant, Billy Ho, wins regular plaudits from the fine dining community in Canggu, too.
We liked that it had plenty of extras to offer guests, though we did feel that nearly everything came at an extra charge on top of an already high room rate.
Overall, though, we’d be happy to recommend Ametis Villa to anyone looking for a spot near Batu Bolong Beach with some serious luxury thrown in.
