Adiwana Suweta Review, Ubud, Bali: A Truly Tropical Temptation

Ubud calls to every Bali traveller at some point in their holiday. It’s when you want to get away from the heat of the beach towns and explore the local culture.

And the town is Bali’s cultural heart with more museums, temples, galleries, etc. than you can count on a day’s walk.

It’s also home to the Adiwana Suweta, and our team wanted to know if you should make this your home away from home in Ubud, and this is what they discovered when they went to stay there.

Our In-Depth Assessment Of Adiwana Suweta

Every inspection is carried out according to the same detailed procedure and evaluation rules. This uniformity keeps our judgments fair and helps you compare properties without confusion.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

This hotel was spotless throughout, and we were very impressed with the cleaning team’s dedication and pursuit of a dust and dirt-free environment.

However, the maintenance team left us with a minor leak in the room, and while it certainly wasn’t a major issue, it did take quite some time to fix it.

Rating:

Sleep Quality

We had a good night’s sleep at this resort, in the main, but at times noise carries from the restaurant area into the rooms and also sometimes, so does the odour (which is not always pleasant) from that area.

It’s not a big deal, but a little soundproofing and air purification could go a long way in the rooms here.

Rating:

Staff Attitude And Service Culture

We felt that the staff here exemplified everything that we like about Balinese hospitality culture; they were warm and compassionate with a genuine care for their guests.

They were also professional and great at getting small issues resolved before they could become big issues.

Rating:

Check-in/Check-out Experience

Checking in is very easy at most of the smaller resorts in this area, and you won’t ever be kept hanging around at reception.

Similarly, the check-out process is good, and it’s easy to get underway once you’ve taken your bags to the front desk.

Rating:

Bathroom Quality & Functionality

The bathrooms are first-rate and some of the best we’ve ever had the pleasure of using. If we could only install such bathrooms in our own homes, we’d die happy.

Seriously, sometimes, you just want to feel good from the moment you wake up, and a great bathroom is the secret to that.

Rating:

Value For Money

We felt that this place was good, but not exceptional value for money. It’s on the borderline, though, and a few tweaks here and there and it could certainly become excellent.

Really, the biggest challenge to this is the amount of competition in Ubud; this is an area with an awful lot of good hotels.

Rating:

Food And Beverage Execution

Tablespoon is very well known as a high-quality dining establishment in Ubud, even without its association with the hotel.

And overall, we’d say that this is one of the better hotels to eat and drink at in this area. There’s a lot of love and effort in the food here.

Rating:

Location & Immediate Surroundings

Ubud is a gloriously beautiful place, and we would be happy to spend time in the town all year round except for one thing.

The number of things to see and do, combined with a cooler climate than in the beach towns, means this town gets super busy, and the traffic is really bad.

Rating:

Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

We felt that this hotel had a lot of amenities, and everything they promised in their marketing material was available.

However, it’s a rare case when we don’t wish that there was just a little more, and it didn’t quite reach that mark.

Rating:

Overall “Personality”

This is a stunning resort with lovely touches throughout; it’s very close to being one of the best resorts on the island, and you are guaranteed to have a good time.

We would also expect anyone who stays here to still be talking about it years from now and in very favourable terms.

FAQs

Is Adiwana Suweta Family Friendly?

Yes, the Adiwana Suweta is a family-friendly resort. They officially welcome guests of all ages as long as they are with their parents and guardians.

One nice touch is that they only charge the adult rate for those 18 and above, which is one of the most generous policies in Ubud.

However, this is slightly undone by the fact that they charge 1,150,000 IDR per night per person for a spare bed, which is one of the highest rates we’ve encountered anywhere in Bali.

It’s also worth noting there is no kids’ club, no babysitting service and no specific child-friendly amenities at this resort.

Final Thoughts On Adiwana Suweta

The Adiwana Suweta is an absolutely lovely resort, and not only did we enjoy staying there, but we’re also sure that anyone who stays there will be glad that they did.

However, we do have to note that Ubud has an incredible number of resorts in this price bracket, and you can hunt around a bit to be completely certain that you’re getting everything you need from your accommodation, too.
