Cleanliness and Maintenance
There are certainly spots around this resort that could use a little more effort from the maintenance team, but to be fair, it’s an older resort, and this is only to be expected.
Villas are hard to keep spotlessly clean, but we also felt that the cleaning team did a thorough job of things here.
Sleep Quality
The beds are comfortable enough, though we felt that the mattresses weren’t the best we’ve tried, and the air flow in the rooms is OK.
However, there’s no noise or lightproofing, and while that isn’t a huge deal given the location, sometimes it’s enough to see your sleep interrupted.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We felt that the staff at this resort were decent enough, and they made sure that things were attended to as needed.
However, they didn’t seem to have a huge amount of individual autonomy when resolving problems.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
It’s a small-ish resort, so even though the check-in is quite basic, it gets the job done, and you’ll soon be in your rooms.
They can store luggage for you if you need them to, but given the location, it’s unlikely to be a service most people need.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are perfectly adequate to the task, though the toiletries weren’t great, and we were glad we’d brought our own. Also, the towels were a little on the small side, though we got dry all the same.

There’s no doubt that you’re going to have to work pretty hard to find accommodation as nice as this for as little money in Uluwatu.
That means we’d rate it exceptional value for money, though we must stress that it really is just accommodation; there’s not much else going on here.
Food And Beverage Execution
The in-room breakfast is the only on-site catering, and it’s OK. More than enough to set you up for the day and attractively presented.
But it’s nothing special either, and we doubt you’ll remember what you had ten minutes after you’ve eaten it.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Uluwatu is a popular place in Bali, but it’s very spread out. So, though it’s safe to walk around, you need transportation to get anywhere of interest.
This is especially true if you want to get out and explore more of Bali, and the traffic in and out of the Bukit Peninsula can make that a bit painful from here.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
Everything is as advertised, but there’s really nothing in the way of facilities here beyond the pool, garden and some breakfast.
Overall “Personality”
It’s not an unforgettable experience but we have to say the cottages and garden aesthetic is very pleasant and we’d say a cut above many other resorts, particularly some of the cookie cutter 4-star hotel chains.
