Cleanliness and Maintenance
Glamping simply can’t deliver the same pristine rooms and facilities as regular resorts do. The nature of being open to the outside world means bugs, leaves, etc., are part and parcel of the resort.
They do a very good job at keeping on top of things at Galalima Glamping, but it’s not perfect by any means.
Sleep Quality
The beds are very comfortable, and if you love to sleep with the sounds of the natural world in the background, you’re going to love being here.
However, there are issues with the natural world which does not go to bed when you do, and tokay geckos and frogs can make a lot of noise. Maybe take some earbuds, just in case.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
The staff here are absolutely excellent, and because of the small, intimate nature of this glamping spot, they’ll all know you by name by the time you leave.
No, it’s not that polished 5-star hotel experience, but it is warm, friendly and very much guest-oriented, and that’s fine by us.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
You can’t really go wrong with check-in at a resort that only consists of four tents; even if everyone else turns up before you in the queue, it won’t take more than a few moments to be in your room.
Checking out is as easy, and they can offer luggage storage here.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are well-appointed, comfortable, and the towels and toiletries are just fine, too.
However, you will have to share them occasionally with some of the local wildlife, and you should probably hide your toothbrushes so that the geckos don’t befoul them.
Value For Money
We thought that overall, this place was good, but not exceptional value for money. While it is a lovely location and the service is good, it’s quite expensive for glamping in Bali.
That means you might want to check out all your glamping options before you book this spot.
Food And Beverage Execution
The on-site kitchen staff are fantastic, and the food quality is very good. They’ll even be happy to whip up traditional dishes that aren’t on the menu if you give them some notice.
However, it’s worth noting that it can still feel a bit limiting if you’re going to stay here for a while, and there’s not much else in the neighbourhood.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
This is a beautiful place, and there’s no doubt that the villa setup enables you to really appreciate the natural world (though it’s not so much fun when it rains).
However, though it’s very safe, if you want to do much more than walk in nature, you’re going to need transportation to get elsewhere on the island.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities and amenities are as advertised, and they are of a decent standard. However, most activities are chargeable on top of your room rate rather than included.
Overall, we’d say that you get a decent amount of amenities but there could be more, particularly given the remote location.

Glamping is proof positive that you don’t have to spend a fortune on a Bali holiday to have an amazing and memorable experience.
Galalima Glamping by AGATA is exactly the sort of place that you will be talking about in positive terms for years to come.

Ths is a lovely jungle tent camp where you can get out and really explore the countryside here. The local waterfall is stunning and you can see a lot of the local wildlife on hiking or trekking trips.
