Cleanliness and Maintenance
This hotel is extremely clean, and we think that there’s very little that the cleaning team here in a jungle-based resort could do to make the place any cleaner.
However, lizards and things are simply an occupational hazard of being in this kind of location.
The maintenance team also do a very good job, but there are minor issues around the property that could be better attended to. Nothing that will interfere with your holiday enjoyment but just to have things completely ship shape.
Sleep Quality
There really is nothing stopping you from having an amazing night’s sleep in this hotel. The rooms are soundproof and don’t really have any local noise to worry about anyway.
And the beds are big and have the right style of mattresses and pillows for excellent rest. We also felt that the air flow was awesome.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
As with almost every 5-star property in Bali, the local service culture shines through in every interaction. There’s genuine warmth and kindness for the guests here; you’re never just a number.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in is just fine, and as with most villa complexes, you’ll be in your rooms a few minutes after you arrive.
This place isn’t very big, so there’s no likelihood of spending hours queuing at reception.
Check-out is also very straightforward, and you’ll be on your way in no time.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms here are lovely, big and with modern fixtures and fittings that really do feel luxurious.
The water pressure is more than adequate, as is the availability of hot water. We found the towels to be first-rate, and while the supplied toiletries weren’t the best in class, they were more than good enough.
Value For Money
We felt that this resort was good value for money, but that it didn’t go far enough to distinguish itself to move into the great or excellent brackets.
Small changes and things could easily be improved, particularly when it comes to the on-site food, which ought to be better than it is.
Food And Beverage Execution
Bukit Cinta, the on-site restaurant, is disappointingly ordinary. We had high hopes for this spot, but it’s quite expensive without offering the kind of standout food that the price tag suggests.
It’s not a deal killer, mind you, one of the joys of being in Ubud is that you’re never far from a great place to eat and every single budget is well-catered to in the town.

Ubud is one of the most popular places for a holiday in Bali, and we’d say that if you’re ready for a break from the heat of the beach towns, this cooler mountain town is a great place to go.
It’s famous for its cultural attractions and featured in Eat, Pray, Love. However, what makes it great also brings a lot of visitors, and the big draws can often be crowded, and the traffic situation is dire.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
You’ll get what’s advertised, but it pains to say it, though the facilities are in good repair, there really aren’t very many of them.
And it doesn’t take a big investment to put in a few games, a dartboard, etc. to provide a little more on-site entertainment.
Overall “Personality”
This is a very attractive place with lovely villas and rooms. The downside is that outside of the villas, there’s really not very much going on.
Sure, you can go into Ubud, but with just a little more effort, you might want to spend much more time in the resort.

However, we should note that they consider all kids over the age of 5 to be adults for billing purposes, which is not particularly generous for Ubud.
While a cot can be supplied free of charge, they also charge an extra 500,000 IDR per person, per night for an extra bed.
