This is a very big hotel, and that’s one of the reasons that it’s so popular for events, but that comes with the downside of it being very hard for cleaning and maintenance to be on top of everything all the time.
Overall, we think they do an excellent job, but there are going to be moments when you notice a little flaw, nothing drastic or holiday-ruining, but they’ll be there.
Sleep Quality
We felt the rooms were large and impressive, with good airflow and comfortable beds with excellent bedding.
However, this is a big hotel, and while there’s no street noise or light in the rooms, sometimes the other guests will make enough noise to disturb your slumber.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We find the staff at The Trans Resort Bali to be exceptional with a genuine focus on warmth, hospitality and getting things done right.
There is no doubt in our minds that they will ensure you have a fabulous experience during your stay.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
This is a big hotel, and that means you may have to wait a while if large numbers of people show up before you. We also find they’re not overly flexible on check-in times, which can be a pain.
However, check-out is very easy, and you will be on your way immediately.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are nice enough, though the fittings are getting a little long in the tooth, and the towels could, perhaps, use more regular replacement.
The water pressure’s good, though, and the toiletries are very nice, indeed.
Value For Money
We felt that the Trans Studio was very good value for money and that in this price bracket a resort has to be truly exceptional to do better.
Food And Beverage Execution
The food and drink are merely OK. This is a place that specialises in the mass production of food for large groups rather than refined dining experiences.
This isn’t too big of a deal, you’re near many other (and better) restaurants and cafes in this part of Bali.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
You can’t really go wrong with Seminyak; it’s well located for you to enjoy restaurants, shopping, nice beaches, and much more.
You can also easily explore the rest of the island from Seminyak. It’s also very safe and quite upmarket.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The Trans Resort Bali has some of the finest facilities of any hotel on the island, and it’s the biggest benefit of staying here.
How many other hotels can offer you exclusive access to their own theme park? None, at least, in Bali.
Overall “Personality”
While it can be big enough to feel impersonal at times, we feel like they’ve struck the right balance between corporate and human at Trans Resort Bali.
We think you’ll remember it fondly for a few years after your time in Bali.

Yes, children of all ages are welcome at this resort, and they have an absolute metric ton of awesome facilities for kids, including a very good kids’ club.
However, their pricing for children isn’t always transparent and varies by room. They do provide cots free of charge, but an extra bed is a pretty pricey 1 million IDR a night (roughly $60 USD or $100 AUD).
Overall, we feel this is a great choice of resort for families, and your children will never be bored here, though the extra charges might mount up a little if you’re not careful.

The Trans Resort Bali is always busy, and there are moments when the endless procession of events, crowds, and conferences can get on your nerves, but mostly, this resort is just too big for it to matter.
Overall, this is a first-rate family holiday resort, and you will be happy to choose this spot if you want a lot of things to do and access to the Trans Studio theme park.
However, if you want a quiet, romantic break, this is probably not the spot for it, with that caveat, this place is highly recommended.
