Cleanliness and Maintenance
Overall, we felt that the cleaning team here do a good job with the usual challenges of jungle living (that is, plant matter and lizards and insects can all enter the room the moment they finish their work).
However, the maintenance team could be better; there were minor faults with the AC, the hairdryer, etc., that ought not to have been an issue.
Sleep Quality
This is a great location in the jungle, and there’s very little noise while trying to get off to sleep, and the beds are big and comfortable.
However, we are deducting one point for the prevalence of lizards running about the room. Sure, they’re part of the natural environment, but not everyone likes them.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
Overall, we found that the staff here were very kind and friendly and really were invested in us having a great experience at the Suara Alam.
That doesn’t mean that it’s OK to come knocking on the door late at night with non-urgent matters, though; we didn’t appreciate it.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Checking in and out of Suara Alam is very straightforward; this isn’t a very big complex (in common with other InI Vie properties), so there’s no big wait to deal with.
We’d also note that they can store your luggage for you after check out, so if you fancy spending more time in the jungle before you move on, you can.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are very nice, and they’re more than big enough and comfy enough to make washing fun. We also liked the towels and toiletries.
However, once again, the lizards get everywhere and while we really don’t mind that, we know that it can freak some folks out.
Value For Money
There’s no getting around the fact that, despite some minor niggles, this place is incredibly good value for money.
You’re getting luxury accommodation for a very low price (though the villas do get more expensive as you go up the range). It’s a bargain.
Food And Beverage Execution
Overall, we felt that the hotel food here was just OK and that it was overpriced. Sure, you can get a big floating breakfast, but who wants croissants soaked in pool water?
We don’t really understand this ritual; it might look good for social media, but it’s a terrible waste of good food, really.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Ubud is super popular for good reason; it’s a safe place (except for the monkeys), and it has a huge amount to see and do.
However, it’s also one of the most busy places in Bali, and the traffic here can be utterly horrendous, leaving you locked into the town rather than able to go out and explore.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We did feel that the facilities promised were all present and correct, but really, there aren’t very many of them.
However, at this price point, we understand why there aren’t even if we did wish there were a few more.
Overall “Personality”
This is a nice but faintly forgettable villa complex. You will definitely be happy to stay here and enjoy a comfortable break from the norm.
But will you be raving about it for years to come? We very much doubt it. The hotel landscape in 2026 is so competitive that you have to work really hard to stand out.
