Cleanliness and Maintenance
This hotel is very clean and well-maintained throughout. We didn’t find any major issues during our stay, and we did go looking for them.
Overall, we felt that the hotel was looking to make an excellent impression throughout our stay and succeeded at that.
Sleep Quality
The beds were nice, and the rooms were airy and pleasant. However, the noise proofing isn’t perfect, and the sounds of your fellow guests (particularly children) occasionally penetrate into your room.
Now, this isn’t a deal killer, but if you like to sleep in late in the mornings, you might think twice about this place.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
Given the sticker price of this hotel, we thought that they might have compromised on the service culture, but not at all.
In fact, this was textbook Balinese hospitality combined with the kind of professionalism you associate with 5-star hotel properties worldwide.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in process was easy enough, but we can see how if a lot of people arrive at the same time as you, it might take a little longer for things to get sorted out.
Checking out is easy enough, though and it’s pretty easy to get a ride share onwards from here, particularly if you’re going to the airport.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are nice enough, but they weren’t the best that we’ve ever seen; they just look a little dated and could, perhaps, use refreshing.
However, the water pressure, toiletries, availability of hot water, etc., were more than good enough for our purposes.
Value For Money
There’s no getting around the fact that this hotel is incredible value for money, particularly if you are a young family and want kids’ club facilities but can’t afford to break the bank for them.
Of course, it’s also excellent value for money for any other class of customer; this is a very competitively priced property.
Food And Beverage Execution
We thought that the on-site restaurants were very good, but not quite in the same league as the best restaurants in the Jimbaran area or the wider island.
But you’d definitely pull in to eat here if you were in the neighbourhood, the food is tasty, well-presented, fresh and exactly what you need in a resort.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Jimbaran is a great place to be based out of, with a lovely beach and a safe environment. However, it is pretty close to the airport, and aeroplane noise can be an issue in this area.
There’s also not that much to do on the doorstep, and you’ll want to travel around Bali to get the most out of staying here.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
You can’t argue with the level of amenities provided here, particularly for the low price tag. We’d note that the kids’ club alone ensures a top mark in this section.
Overall “Personality”
There had to be a downside and there is, but not a huge one, the Platinum Hotel is nice enough but it’s not especially memorable, we’ve seen 5-star hotels like this one everywhere in the world.
That’s fine, though, as this price, we really can’t complain.
