Cleanliness and Maintenance
We always think that it’s hard to keep a villa compound spotless, but the team at Villa Karishma does an excellent job. We suspect that’s down to the fact that it’s a single property, and once they find a routine, it’s easy.
Maintenance, on the other hand, was a touch patchy. Issues were resolved quickly but would have been better not arising at all.
Sleep Quality
Assuming that you don’t bring any noisy people with you, the rooms are quiet, dark and have excellent air flow.
The beds are fabulous too, and you’re sure to find the mattress, pillow and linen a comfortable combination.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
With a tightly focused single-party guest experience, the service has to be extremely optimal all of the time, and we felt that it was.
The staff here are all about ensuring you and your guests have the best possible time, and they’re only too happy to go the extra mile as needed.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
As you’d expect for a single party rental, the check-out and check-in process is pretty painless, there can’t be any queues, and you’ll be in the villa before you know it.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms were a bit of a mixed bag; some of them were on a par with the best we’ve ever used, others were simply good enough.
Overall, we felt that the water pressure wasn’t great, but everything else was more than acceptable.
Value For Money
Sure, the headline price looks stupidly high until you remember that it’s for 12 people in an extremely popular location.
In reality, this Villa at a per-person price is incredible value for money, as long as you’re filling it with people.
Food And Beverage Execution
It’s nice to have a private chef on hand, and we enjoyed their culinary creations, but we’d also prefer more choices and a range of experiences.
You’ll definitely enjoy the food here, but even if you wanted to come back for just the food, you couldn’t.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Seminyak is a great place to be as there’s a ton of stuff to see and do here. It’s also great for a staging post to see the rest of Bali.
We’d also note that the villa is not affected by any noise from the nightlife in the area.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The amenities are exactly as advertised, but there really aren’t very many of them. That’s fine, we figure big groups are likely to be happy to make their own entertainment or just enjoy each other’s company.
Overall “Personality”
It’s a very attractive property, and there’s no doubt we grabbed a lot of shots for our Instagram feed here, but we also have to say that its sole personality is “big” when compared to some of the ultra-luxury villas here.

If you want an excellent deal for a huge group of people in Bali, we don’t think you can go wrong with Villa Karishma. This Seminyak spot is really nice.
However, there aren’t many amenities, and you might find yourselves getting bored if all you want to do is stay in the villa all the time.

Yes, Villa Karishma is a family-friendly property in that children are welcome to stay with their parents and guardians present, and there is plenty of room for even the biggest of families.
However, there are no real child-friendly features at this villa because it only caters to a single group of people, so if you really need a kids’ club or other entertainment for your children, this may not be the right property for you.
Overall, whether you book Villa Karishma or not is almost certainly dependent on whether your party has a need for six bedrooms; there aren’t all that many other options in Bali for properties on this scale.
Final Thoughts On Villa Karishma
Villa Karishma is simply huge, and if you have the kind of group that needs this much space, you’re going to find it’s good value for money and more than big enough.
However, if you’re not, then there are probably better options in Seminyak or elsewhere in Bali. There aren’t many on-site amenities of any kind at this complex, and while we can understand that’s because it’s a single villa, it does mean that staying in will get pretty boring unless it’s full.
Overall, we’d be happy to recommend Villa Karishma to those seeking a big group residence in one of Bali’s most popular resort towns.
