One of the things about being out in nature is that nature often comes to visit you, and no matter how hard the cleaning and maintenance teams work, that’s always going to be the case.
So, as long as you don’t mind lizards, mosquitoes, spiders, etc., then you’re going to find that this place is more than acceptably clean.
Sleep Quality
That nature thing comes into play again here; they provide mosquito nets around the comfortable beds for a reason, and it is folly to leave them open at night.
However, as long as you can endure the occasional loud noise from a frog or gecko in the outside world, you’ll have a lovely night’s sleep.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We felt that the staff were super attentive and extremely friendly and helpful in this place, and nothing’s too much trouble for them.
It’s clear that the guest experience matters to everyone in this hotel and that you’re going to have a great time from the minute you arrive.

This is a low-cost resort in the middle of nowhere; the check-in is extremely quick because there is no queue to get in at all.
The same is true of checking out, a painless and straightforward process that won’t impede your departure at all.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
Once again, nature intervenes, and while the bathrooms are of a good size, with nice fittings and fixtures, decent towels and toiletries, you may have to share them with the occasional gecko.
Don’t be scared, they can’t hurt you, but don’t leave your toothbrush anywhere, they can run over it either. It’s best to put it in your bag after use.

We thought that Bamboo Turtle Ecolodge was exceptional value for money, and we’d be glad to come back and stay here again.
Tree house experiences in Bali are often very expensive, but this one is reasonably priced, and they’ve not diluted the experience to get to that price point.
Food And Beverage Execution
The on-site coffee shop sells meals and drinks. They’re all perfectly edible and adequate, but this isn’t the sort of place you’d race back to after checking out, either.
Bring some of your own food and use the kitchen facilities if you want to vary things up a bit.

It’s a bargain retreat in the middle of nowhere, and while all facilities are as advertised, they aren’t exactly overflowing with facilities either.
We’d have liked just a bit more to do, but to be fair, the best time here is chilling with a book with nothing to distract you from the pages between jungle walks.

No, it’s not in the same league as Bambu Indah or Raffles, but it’s very good, all the same.
