Cleanliness and Maintenance

The Seminyak Beach Resort is kept spotlessly clean, and we were very impressed with the attention to detail of their cleaning team.

However, there are moments when their maintenance team have left you confronted with the evidence that this is an aging resort, and that’s a bit of a shame, because otherwise, they do an excellent job.

Rating:

Sleep Quality

The rooms are spacious, and the airflow within the environment is excellent. There was no light leaking through the curtains or noise coming through the doors while we were there.

We also found the beds to be big and more than comfy enough for a great night’s sleep.

Rating:

Staff Attitude And Service Culture

We feel like you can bank on the staff being excellent in a 5-star resort in Bali, and the staff here were no exception to that rule.

They’re all about creating a guest experience that is soothing, relaxing and first-rate.

Rating:

Check-in/Check-out Experience

Check-in and check-out were nothing to write home about, either to praise or complain; we certainly didn’t wait too long to get to our rooms, and given the nature of this resort, we doubt anyone ever has, either.

Rating:

Bathroom Quality & Functionality

We liked the bathrooms very much, they were spacious, clean, and pleasant. The towels were great and the toiletries they supplied were high quality.

Rating:

Value For Money

We felt that this resort was perfectly good value for money without being exceptional. That’s simply because with the current levels of competition in Bali, you can aford to be super picky about where you stay and exactly what you want from your hotel experience.

Rating:

Food And Beverage Execution

The food and drinks are all perfectly nice enough, but rarely reach the level of blowing you away, with so many great restaurants and bars in Bali, we don’t think this is a deal breaker – you’re going to want to go out and explore the cuinary scene anyway.

Rating:

Location & Immediate Surroundings

Seminyak is a fabulous place for a Balinese holiday, and we can thoroughly recommend staying in the area. It’s also great for access to Canggu, Kuta, Ubud, etc., too.

You’ll find that it’s also safe and pleasant in the neighborhood, though sometimes, the nightlife might feel a little too close by.

Rating:

Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

The facilities and amenities on offer are very much as they are in the online brochure, but we did feel that they really stood out in anyway.

They are “good enough”, though, and to be fair, that’s really all you need unless you’re going to use them all day, every day.

Rating:

Overall “Personality”

We felt that this was a really nice resort, but perhaps one without a very distinct personality of its own. It looks great in your holiday photos, mind you, so it’s possible you will still talk about it with friends in years to come, but you might need to look it up to jog your memory.

We’d certainly be happy to recommend this place to most people who want to stay in Seminyak and who find the package on offer appealing.

FAQs

Is The Seminyak Beach Resort And Spa Family Friendly?

Yes, The Seminyak Beach Resort and Spa is a family-friendly resort. It has direct access to the beach, which provides plenty of places to play.

There are two pools with children’s areas, some of the rooms provide kitchenette facilities, gardens and terraces, and though there’s no kids’club, you can get babysitting services and cots.

Overall, it’s a solid pick if you’re a family with younger children who don’t need the extended entertainment offered by a kids’ club.

Final Thoughts On The Seminyak Beach Resort And Spa

The Seminyak Beach Resort and Spa is a good hotel, and there’s no doubt that they do a lot of things well, and the spa is particularly excellent.

However, we weren’t so struck with the dining options, which are middling and below the standards we’d expect from this resort, not that it matters, you’re within walking distance of plenty of other options for eating out.

Overall, we’d be happy to recommend this hotel to most travellers in Seminyak seeking an upscale resort experience.
