They keep things spotless at Hotel Tugu Bali, but there are minor maintenance issues that can’t be covered up, relating to the age of this property.
There’s nothing that will spoil your holiday, mind you, but it’s noticeable that some parts of the hotel have been around a while.

You will have an excellent night’s sleep in this hotel. They specifically boast of the soundproofing and lightproofing in their rooms, and it works wonderfully.
The beds themselves are large and well-appointed, and you should have no issues closing your eyes and dozing off at Hotel Tugu.

This is a 5-star hotel with a huge reputation for excellence in Canggu, and in our experience, it lives up to that reputation.
The staff here have all the warmth and kindness you expect from a team in Bali, along with that professional polish of top-quality establishments.

The check-in process is good enough, and you won’t be kept waiting long before you’re escorted to your rooms and enjoying your holiday.
Check out is equally easy, and they can store bags for you if you want to spend a bit more time in Canggu before moving on.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are world-class, and they’re big, spacious and airy with excellent amenities and toiletries.
The water pressure is consistent, and the water remains warm all day long; we’ve got no complaints at all in this area.
Value For Money
Hotel Tugu is one of the best hotels in this price bracket, but there are a lot of hotels to choose from in this range in Canggu and beyond in wider Bali.
Make sure that the amenities really match your needs before you commit to anything. Though don’t leave it too long, this place is popular; it does book out early.
Food And Beverage Execution
Ji is one of our favourite restaurants in Canggu; it does Japanese food superlatively well by focusing on a refined selection of dishes.
The other restaurants in the hotel are all of a similar standard, and it’s not just that we would come back just for the food; we do come back just for the food.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Welcome to Canggu! This place offers excellent access to the beach, and you’re within walking distance or a taxi journey of the island’s best beach clubs, shopping, bars, restaurants, etc.
And it’s also a great location to use as a base for seeing the rest of the island from. Overall, you just can’t go wrong, which is, of course, why Canggu is so popular.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
This hotel offers a wide range of facilities and amenities, and mostly they are of good standard, though some of them could use a little touching up, as they have signs of their age showing.
If you want a holiday with a lot to do in the resort, this could be a great pick.
Overall “Personality”
Hotel Tugu does have a distinct personality, and we think if this is one of your first 5-star hotel stays, you’ll still be talking about it for years to come.
But this part of the market, globally, sets very high standards nowadays and if you regularly spend time in high-end hotels, you might not be as enthusiastic.

Is Hotel Tugu Bali Family Friendly?
Children of any age are welcome to stay with their parents or guardians at Hotel Tugu. For children under the age of 2, a cot can be provided free of charge, and extra beds are available (at a charge) for kids over 2.
There are babysitting services available and kids’ menus, along with plenty of activities that children might enjoy; however, there’s no kids’ club.
Overall, we think this is a good family hotel, and as long as your kids don’t need non-stop entertainment, they’re bound to enjoy staying here.

Hotel Tugu is one of Canggu’s older hotels now, and there are certainly signs of that in the decor, but overall, it remains one of the best hotels in this area.
The restaurants are excellent, and the wealth of facilities at this hotel is nearly unmatched in this area.
