This lovely resort is one of our review team’s favourites in Seminyak.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
We found that the hotel was clean throughout, but occasionally we did move something and find that the cleaners hadn’t been quite as proactive as we’d like them to be. No biggie, but the small details matter.
The maintenance team is excellent, though, and we had no issues with anything during our stay, which is a credit to them, given this is an older resort.
Sleep Quality
The rooms are fabulous and so are the beds, which are big and comfortable with excellent fittings, sheets, pillows, mattresses, etc.
They are also well sealed against the light. However, there is a very small amount of noise leak due to the general background noise of this area at night. It’s not the end of the world, but it might upset a very light sleeper.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
This hotel has an amazing and deserved reputation for first-rate service. You will be dazzled with Balinese warmth and friendliness combined with absolute professionalism.
Double Six Luxury Hotel is better than a home away from home in this respect.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in process and check-out processes were both just fine, and it’s unlikely you will spend very much time at the front desk here.
They can store luggage if you need them to after check-out.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are as luxurious as the bedrooms, with excellent toiletries and towels supplied. We’d happily go back to Double Six Luxury Hotel just to take a bath.
Value For Money
We thought this was better value for money than most properties in Seminyak, though we don’t feel we can give it a perfect score due to the general noise of the area.
Food And Beverage Execution
The food and drinks are very good throughout the property, and you can take some nice pics for Instagram.
We’d also note that The Plantatio Grill is absolutely amazing, and we’d come back to eat there again even without booking a room.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
This area of Seminyak is amazing for nightlife lovers, and it’s safe enough. It’s also great for exploring the rest of Bali.
However, we should note that it’s kind of loud at times and might not be for everyone.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities here are as advertised, and they are all of a good standard. But we can’t help but feel that a “luxury hotel” ought to have a few more on-site amenities than this one does.
Overall “Personality”
Double Six is a very striking hotel, and it looks fabulous in photographs. It’s also the kind of hotel that you’re going to remember in the years to come, and we think, favourably.

The Double Six Luxury Hotel lives up to its name, and it does provide luxury on one of Bali’s best-known beaches.
We really appreciated the hospitality vibe here and the amazing food in the resort’s restaurants and bars.
However, there’s no doubt that this area is party-focused, and you may find that there is some noise leak in the rooms. This isn’t really within the hotel’s control, but light sleepers may not want to stay here for that reason.

Is Double Six Luxury Hotel Family Friendly?
It’s fair to say that Double Six Luxury Hotel operates as a family-friendly resort, but there are some issues for families that stay here.
The upside includes a nice kids’ pool, a free stay policy for kids under 6, wonderful treatment from staff and the luxurious vibe.
The downside is no kids’ club and no special children’s facilities beyond the pool, and worse, this area is very much part of Bali’s party scene. There can be noise in the hotel at night from the local beach clubs and the occasional drunk group staggering around the area in the evenings.
We doubt your kids would feel threatened here, but they might be better off elsewhere, all the same.
Final Thoughts On Double Six Luxury Hotel
If you love to party and want to enjoy Seminyak’s party scene, the Double Six Luxury Hotel is a great place to stay. It’s still a fabulous hotel despite its age.
The beachfront is great, and you’re in a superb location to explore the big nightlife spots on the island, both in Seminyak and in nearby Canggu and Kuta.
However, families, particularly those with younger children, might prefer a quieter, more orderly location for their holiday.
