Cleanliness and Maintenance
We felt that the cleaning team at Aloft Seminyak did a good job in general, and we couldn’t catch them out too often with dust in hard-to-reach places.
However, there were definitely issues regarding maintenance around the resort, nothing holiday-ruining, but obvious nonetheless.
Sleep Quality
The beds are excellent and, in fact, better than we’d expected given the price of the rooms here. The mattresses are just the way we like them, and the pillows are lovely.
We also found no noise leaks, light leaks or issues with the air conditioning that prevented us from having a good night’s sleep.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We thought that the service culture was first-rate at this hotel, and we think that’s the influence of their big brand affiliation. You will definitely feel properly taken care of at Aloft Seminyak.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in and check-out were very much standard processes and we were in our rooms in a reasonable time.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are OK, but the supplied toiletries weren’t the best and we did feel that there could have been a bit more room and that the fixtures and fittings needed a little bit of TLC to get them in top condition.
Value For Money
If you have kids, you probably want to raise our score here, as the Kids Club is very attractive in a hotel in this price range.
However, otherwise, this place represents good but not incredible value for money.
Food And Beverage Execution
They have plenty of restaurant capacity here, and the food is decently prepared and presented. It also tastes reasonable enough.
But in Seminyak, where there are so many first-rate restaurants to visit? None of it is quite enough to make you want to come here just for the food.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Seminyak is one of the best places to stay in Bali. It has vibrant nightlife, a wonderful dining scene and without a doubt one of the best beaches on the island.
It also makes a good starting point for deeper exploration of the island, and while Bali traffic can be a bit of a nightmare, technically, it’s a short drive from a lot of the other tourist spots.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities at Aloft Bali are as advertised, though the gym equipment wasn’t in the best condition when we tried it out. But overall, it’s all satisfactory.
You definitely wouldn’t come here just for the facilities, though the Kids Club is a nice touch and not something that you commonly get on a property this cheap.
Overall “Personality”
Alfot is a nice enough hotel, charming, in fact. But it’s not the sort of place that burns its way into your memories forever. It’s a good place for a break, but it will be the people and the island that make your holiday rather than this property.

We had some misgivings that their corporate ownership would have turned this hotel into something of a faceless business-style resort, but that’s not the case.
In fact, Aloft Bali Seminyak represents good value for money and is a pleasant chain tourist hotel in one of Bali’s more popular destinations.
We’d be happy to recommend staying here to most people, and if you need an affordable hotel with a good Kids’ Club, this is a no-brainer.
