Cleanliness and Maintenance
Family resorts tend to see a bit more wear and tear than luxury adults-only resorts, and we were reasonably impressed with how the team ensures that this place is clean and attractive.
However, the maintenance team could be a little more proactive. There were some minor issues with fixtures in our room, though they were swiftly replaced; it would be good if that had been done before we arrived.
Sleep Quality
The beds are decent here, and the mattresses and pillows are comfortable enough. We thought the air flow in the room was good, too. But in keeping with many family resorts, there is the occasional sound of children running around and playing that breaks into your slumber.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We were very impressed with the staff at this resort, and they really do go the extra mile to ensure that you have an amazing experience.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in and check-out were very standard experiences, and unless you’re unlucky enough to arrive alongside dozens of people, you should have no significant wait before you’re in your room.
You may also store luggage with the hotel after you check out if needed.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are a decent size, the water pressure is OK, the toiletries supplied are OK, and overall, we thought the bathrooms were fully up to the task of keeping us clean.
Value For Money
This hotel is pretty good value for money; the low price tag definitely reflects the fact that Kuta is not as desirable a destination as it once was, but it’s not far from other popular areas of the island.
It’s definitely not the best value for money that we’ve ever had, but it’s above average, for sure.
Food And Beverage Execution
The onsite restaurant is pretty good, not exciting enough to come back without booking a room, but the food is tasty enough and well presented.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Kuta was once the best holiday destination in Bali. Today, it’s not. The area is a little run-down, but it’s safe enough, and there are a lot of amenities on the doorstep.
If you want to enjoy a staging post for exploring the rest of the island, you’re in a good spot too.

There are a decent number of facilities available as advertised on the website, and they live up to expectations but rarely exceed them.

This is a pleasant family resort that blends in nicely with other similar properties the world over. It’s not the sort of place that you remember for very long after checking out, but you won’t resent being here either.

Kuta’s golden days are behind it, but the Amnaya Resort is still an excellent family hotel. You’ll find that it’s also good for singles and couples; it’s not overwhelmed with kids like some resorts can be.
The onsite restaurant is decent, and the spa facilities are very good. It’s also ideally positioned for enjoying everything Kuta has to offer, and that’s a fair amount, even if the beach isn’t in brilliant condition at the moment.
This is a good choice of stay for someone on a tight budget looking to get a bit of extra value in Kuta, Bali.

It’s reasonably priced and has some decent facilities on hand. The location is great for people who want to shop in Bali (there are two malls nearby).
However, Kuta beach itself isn’t great at the moment due to damage inflicted in the last year or so. So, we’d recommend using this resort as a base to explore Bali from rather than as a spot for long-term stays without leaving the hotel.
