You simply can’t charge the kind of money The Soori charges unless every little detail is perfect, and it really is.
The cleaning and maintenance teams ensure that not only is everything spotless, but it all looks in pristine condition and is working perfectly.
Sleep Quality
The beds are amazing, probably the best we’ve ever tried, with plenty of room to roll over and excellent mattresses, linens and pillows.
We suspect they’ve soundproofed the rooms, and they’re certainly lightproof, but there’s probably no need for the soundproofing; this slice of the island is more than quiet enough.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
As you’d expect in a private villa compound, the team serving you is world-class, there are no efforts spared to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday.
You’ll remember the interactions at The Soori fondly after you leave. This is one of those resorts where you feel truly welcome.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in and check-out are just fine, and you’re not in the kind of place that keeps people hanging around waiting to get into their accommodation.
They will help store luggage after check-out, but given The Soori’s location, we doubt anyone leaves and then comes back later to pick up their bags.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are every bit as luxurious as we’d imagined. You feel like an A-Lister taking a wash in this place.
The towels, the toiletries, the small details and everything else are just superb.
Value For Money
The Soori is an amazing place, but we have to take that price tag into account seriously, and we do feel that there are resorts on the island at this price point that offer better value for money.
Now, it’s simply not going to matter to most people who stay here as to how much bang for buck they can wring out of the place, but if it does matter to you, shop around.
Food And Beverage Execution
The food here is an absolute delight at this place, and we’d be happy to let them cook for us over and over again. Chef Dedy, in particular, is absolutely awesome.
Komang, the bartender, is no slouch either, and he will pour you drinks that look like they belong on the covers of magazines.

Location & Immediate Surroundings
This is a gorgeous location and one of the safest spots on an already very safe island, with amazing views.
There’s also absolutely nothing of consequence within walking distance, and while transportation will get you to Uluwatu’s highlights, the rest of the island is a long traffic-misery filled journey away.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities, as we’d expected, are very much as advertised, and they are of an exceptional nature. However, there’s no doubt that there really aren’t all that many of them, considering how expensive this place is.
Now, we’ve no doubt that someone will argue that that’s the point of this kind of place, but still, we’d have enjoyed a bit more to do all the same.
Overall “Personality”
Even if it didn’t have the celebrity cachet, The Soori makes you feel special and important from the moment you arrive until the moment that you depart.
It’s an amazing place, and we will be talking about our time at The Soori for many years to come.
