Cleanliness and Maintenance
The hotel team does a great job of keeping things clean here, but we have to note that there are areas which look a little tired and run down, now, too.
Nothing bad enough to impair your holiday, but there all the same.
Sleep Quality
The beds are great, and the air conditioning is superb for keeping the room comfortable. The mattresses are nic,e and the pillows are more than good enough.
But there’s no escaping the amount of corridor noise that the kids in this hotel create from breakfast time until 8/9 p.m. Light sleepers beware.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
The staff are very good at this resort, and we were very impressed with the attitude of everyone that we came into contact with.
We also found that they have been empowered to resolve issues themselves wherever possible.

Check-in and check-out are electronic here, but there’s still a bit of work to get from the door to your rooms.
They can store some bags for you after you check out if you want to spend more time in Nusa Dua before you move on.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms were excellent in our opinion. They’re large, spacious and ideal for family use. The supplied towels and toiletries are very good, too.
Value For Money
We felt that the Grand Hyatt Bali represented very good value for money. Though we caution against their “all-inclusive” option, which is both expensive and difficult to manage – you must reserve your seats at restaurants to claim your meals, which reduces spontaneity.
Food And Beverage Execution
We felt that the food at Grand Hyatt Bali was what we expect from a 5-star family resort, good but not great.
You won’t be sorry that you ate here, but if you do go into other parts of Nusa Dua, you can find better food for less money.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Nusa Dua is a great place to be for the beach. Which is covered in white, soft and mainly clean sand. However, it’s a very spread-out area, which means there’s not much within walking distance.
And if you want to head into the rest of Bali, you will find it’s hard work to get off the Bukit Peninsula, as the traffic is bottlenecked at the main access points.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
This hotel is absolutely overrun with excellent facilities, and if you’re the kind of family that likes to spend lots of time in the resort without having to go anywhere, this will make you very happy.
The Kids’ Club in particular is excellent and ensures that parents will get some time to themselves for a massage and a few cocktails.
Overall “Personality”
We feel that the Grand Hyatt Bali is a bit lacking in personality, but that’s OK, it’s a big corporate 5-star hotel, which is very good at providing a place for stressed-out families to have fun together.
It’s unlikely to be the key talking point of your holiday, because you’ll be talking about all the things you did, instead, and that’s not a bad thing.

Summary: Our Overview Of Grand Hyatt Bali
This resort is amazing for families. But for families is something we need to stress. We don’t think we’ve ever seen a hotel with so many children running around and having such a good time in Bali before.
That means if you’d prefer a quieter, more relaxing holiday, you’re not going to find it here, even the Club lounge is full of kids tearing about and doing their own thing.
