Cleanliness and Maintenance
Given that this hotel is now more than a decade old, you really can’t tell when wandering around the place. Both the cleaning team and maintenance team do a brilliant job.
Even places like the whirlpool and the electric buggies that cart you around between parts of the site are in pristine condition.
Sleep Quality
The bedrooms are great. The mattresses are comfortable and extremely large. The pillows are top of the class, and they have excellent airflow in the room.
We’d also note that there’s no noise to be heard either from your fellow guests or from the fairly quiet neighbourhood of Nusa Dua.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
This is the Ritz-Carlton, and the brand sets standards for the rest of the world to follow when it comes to service culture, and this resort is no exception.

Check-in and check-out are just fine, and you won’t be hanging around very long to get into your room and enjoy the facilities.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are excellent with nice bath robes, towels, fabulous toiletries and all the nice touches that we want in a hotel bathroom.
Yes, we’d come back here just to take a bath.
Value For Money
We felt that The Ritz-Carlton Bali represents good value for money, and if it has everything you want from a resort, it could be even better.
But at this price point, you have so many choices on the island that you can be really fussy about what you need from a hotel.
Food And Beverage Execution
We enjoyed the food and drinks very much at The Ritz-Carlton, but we were surprised by how unmemorable the dining experience was. We’d expected something that would really blow us away.
It’s not the end of the world; we were never sorry that we’d opted to dine in the restaurants, but it just could be a bit more given the competition.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Nusa Dua is lovely, and the white sand beach here is hard to beat. But it’s also a bit isolated, and you will need to walk a long way just to get to another hotel.
And if you want to explore all of Bali from here, you’re looking at some serious misery in traffic thanks to the bottleneck of traffic flowing onto and off of the Bukit Peninsula.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
You can’t beat this hotel for excllent ameneties and there are plenty of them. If you’re the kind of holidaymaker that wants to spend a lot of time in the resort being entertained, this is the place for you.
We really enjoyed all the on-site facilities and we’d come back just to whizz about the place in an electric buggy again.
Overall “Personality”
It’s not quite as bursting with personality as Mandapa but given the more reasonable price tage, we can forgive that.
You’ll certainly be proud and excited to tell your friends at home about your time in this Nusa Dua resort.
