This is Bali, not the Caribbean; an adults-only resort here is simply one where children are not admitted, there’s nothing sordid going on by the pool.
PinkCoco is one of a growing number of adults-only hotels here, and it’s in Uluwatu, which is growing in popularity with visitors to the island, but does it deliver a first-rate holiday experience?
Our team was sent to find out, and this is what they gleaned from their stay at PinkCoco, Uluwatu.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

We found this resort to be clean throughout, but it’s definitely showing some signs of aging, and there are a few spots where the maintenance team may be struggling to refresh things on a tight budget.
Overall, though, there are no major concerns and certainly nothing that will impair your holiday.
Sleep Quality

We were quite surprised at how quiet this place is at night, sure some of the folks staying here are party-oriented and head out to enjoy the nightlife, but they don’t bring it back with them.
The beds are comfortable, and the sheets, mattresses, pillows, etc., are all more than enough to get a good night’s sleep.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture

The staff at Pink Coco are great, friendly, warm and extremely enthusiastic when it comes to ensuring their guests are happy.
It’s not always the most organised service culture, but there’s no doubt that the guest experience is at the forefront of whatever they do at this resort.
Check-in/Check-out Experience

It’s not the biggest of resorts, and you’re not likely to spend too much time faffing around before being shown to your room.
They can also store luggage if you need to after check out, though in this location, most won’t need to.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality

The bathrooms are decent enough with some basic toiletries, and the towels were OK too. We can’t say we’d come back just to use the bathroom, but they meet all your basic needs.
Value For Money

If the PinkCoco were anywhere else in Bali except the Bukit, we’d expect it to be cheaper than this, and it might have hit our “great” value for money level, but as is, it’s good but not amazing.
However, if you want an adults-only resort and it has to be in Uluwatu, you may struggle to find anything else at this price point.
Food And Beverage Execution

The food and drinks are pretty good for a 3-star hotel and there’s no doubt they’re tasty enough, but we can’t imagine anyone coming to Pink Coco just to eat here, it doesn’t deliver a standout experience in Bali’s excellent dining scene.
Location & Immediate Surroundings

The Bukit Peninsula is a popular area, but there are some drawbacks to staying here and that’s really down to how spread out it is. If you want to go anywhere but your hotel, you’re going to need transport.
And if you want to see the rest of Bali, beyond the Bukit, the traffic can be a serious impediment to a day trip.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

This is a 3-star hotel, albeit a fairly upmarket one, and the facilities are as you’d expect for that kind of star rating. They’re not bad, but nor are they out of this world.
However, there are a reasonable number of facilities given that star rating, and you won’t be sorry if you spend a day or two just chilling in the hotel.
Overall “Personality”

This resort was built to be memorable, and it’s more than just a big pink facade; there’s no doubt that it has real personality and that people who are called to stay here will find themselves talking about it in the years to come.
Summary: Our Overview Of PinkCoco Uluwatu

The PinkCoco Uluwatu is a very good option for those seeking a haven away from kids on a tight-ish budget in Uluwatu.
The location is good for exploring the local area, and there’s no doubt that the place has its own very distinct personality, too.
Grading: Very Good/Happy to Return

FAQs
Is PinkCoco Uluwatu Family Friendly?
No, PinkCoco Uluwatu is most definitely not family-friendly. In fact, it is one of only a handful of resorts on the island that is entirely adults-only.
That ensures that their guests are able to enjoy drinks and adult conversation without the sound of little feet and voices breaking the mood.
Don’t worry, though, there are plenty of family-friendly places to stay in Uluwatu, and you won’t have to miss out on anything.
Final Thoughts On PinkCoco Uluwatu
PinkCoco Uluwatu is unmistakably pink and surprisingly low-cost for a resort in Uluwatu, which is fast becoming one of Bali’s most popular tourist destinations.
However, it’s most definitely not a 5-star experience, and you will need to deal with minor inconveniences that aren’t children to get the most out of your stay here.
Overall, we’d be happy to recommend this to someone who really wants an adults-only resort, is on a tight budget and has to stay in Uluwatu.
