Cleanliness and Maintenance
Zin Canggu is a big hotel complex, and it’s not always easy to keep track of all the moving pieces of a place this large.
We felt that the cleaning and maintenance team do a very good job in difficult circumstances, but there are definitely some small flaws, too.
Sleep Quality
This isn’t one of the busiest beach areas in Canggu, but there’s always a bit of noise from the nightlife as you get close to the shore here.
And overall, we felt that noise was kept to a minimum at ZIN Canggu, the beds are comfortable, and the airflow in the bedrooms is very nice.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
The staff are excellent at ZIN, and they will get to know you on a first-name basis if you hang around for long enough.
They have that wonderful warmth of the Balinese people, combined with a real focus on customer experience.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in process is effective, and we doubt anyone spends too much time waiting before they get to use their room.
Check-out is similarly effective, and we were on our way before we had too much time to think.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are nice enough at ZIN, with enough room to get things done, adequate water pressure and decent towels and toiletries.
Would we go back just for the bathrooms? No, but they certainly didn’t impair our stay in any way.
Value For Money
We think ZIN Canggu represents above average value for money, and we enjoyed our time at this resort.
Its proximity to the beach and the huge range of onsite facilities make it a great place to spend some time chilling rather than out exploring.
Food And Beverage Execution
We confess, our review team regularly visits ZIN to eat in the onsite restaurant, and we think it’s above average for this area and great value for money.
You will get some nice Instagram shots of the food too, as it’s very nicely presented. Overall, we’d say they do a good job of food and beverage execution, and you would come here just for the food.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
This is Canggu, and it’s Bali’s most popular area for good reasons. It’s full of things to do and see. In this area, you are close to the beach, it’s safe and away from the main nightlife district, but not so far away that you can’t walk to it, either.
You’ll also find plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes nearby to enjoy, which is always handy.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
We think they have some great facilities and amenities at this resort and that it punches above its weight in this category.
Nothing is quite “best in class”, but it’s all above average, and we really liked using the facilities here.
Overall “Personality”
It’s a nice hotel, but we don’t think it’s a particularly memorable hotel. You’ll enjoy your rooms, and they look nice on your social media feed.
But will you be raving about this place in a year’s time? We’re not sure that you will.
