The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan was once named the best hotel in the world, and it’s won an absolute boatload of awards ever since it opened.
This hotel brand has an incredible reputation, and our team was very impressed with their resort in Jimbaran Bay and was curious to see if they could repeat the feat.
So, they packed their bags excitedly and headed out into the heartland of Bali, and this is what they learned about The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

It’s the Four Seasons and they clean and maintain this space like it’s their own high-end luxury home. Everything is spotless and flawless.
And frankly, so it should be.
Sleep Quality

The bedrooms are superb, with amazingly comfortable beds and lovely mattresses and linens. We felt that the airflow was dedicated to keeping the room at the right temperature for sleeping too.
Most of all, there’s no noise or light pollution to spoil things at any time of the day or night.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture

The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and the brand. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is empowered to make sure that issues are resolved in the most efficient fashion.
Check-in/Check-out Experience

Check-in and check-out are just fine and you’ll be whisked away to your villa very swiftly upon arrival. We also found that they are happy to store luggage after your check out if you need them to.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality

We would come back to this hotel just to use the bathrooms again, they’re that good. Certainly, they’re better than the bathrooms we have at home.
The supplied toiletries are amazing and the towels are very comfortable too.
Value For Money

Overall, we felt that the resort was above value for money, bordering on the excellent. We certainly wouldn’t complain about spending more time here at this price.
Food And Beverage Execution

We felt that the food here was definitely above average, but we also felt that it wasn’t “best in class” which was a bit of a surprise to the review team, who were expecting something more.
Sure, we’d come back to eat here if someone else was paying, but we’re not sure we’d rush to put our hands in our own pockets to do so.
Location & Immediate Surroundings

Ubud has plenty to see and do, and it’s a safe place. But you will find that there’s not a lot within direct walking distance of this resort.
We’d also note that the once quiet central Bali town now has an absolute ton of traffic, and it can take a while to get into and out of this area.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise

The facilities and amenities are as promised and are all at the absolute pinnacle of their type. The Four Seasons makes it more than just a home away from home or accommodation.
This is a resort where you want to spend your time in the resort and enjoy what’s on offer to you. The Kids’ Club is also absolutely fantastic if you have little ones.
Overall “Personality”

This is a stunning resort, where they have paid attention to every single detail to ensure that you have an incredible experience.
There is no doubt that anyone who stays here will be talking about it for years to come, and that they will be the envy of their friends and family.
