This is a big resort, and occasionally, things get missed, but we did think overall it was very clean, and they were quite proactive with maintenance as far as we could see.

The beds are of a decent standard, and they’re comfortable. There is a little noise carried in the rooms, though, so if you’re a super light sleeper, you might need to pack earplugs.

No, definitely not, Bali is lucky to have a wealth of amazing restaurants, and the Holiday Inn is good, but it’s not competing with the best that the island has to offer on this front.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Kuta is safe enough, though late at night, we’d take transport due to the proximity of the nightlife areas to the beachfront here.
And it’s got loads of amenities on the doorstep, and the area is great for exploring the rest of Bali; however, the beach is a little scraggy at the moment due to erosion damage this year.

All the facilities and amenities are as advertised at this resort, but there’s nothing that feels like they went the extra mile.
The Kids Club is a lot of fun for the younger ones, though the staff deserve a shout of their own here.
Overall “Personality”
Holiday Inn is pretty corporate, and there’s no getting away from that. It’s a nice family resort, but it has no real personality of its own; it’s a place you can rely on for its conservative identikit performance compared to all the other boxes that operate under this brand in the world.
That’s fine, not every resort needs to be memorable. When you have your family around you, they can help you make memories.
