Cleanliness and Maintenance
We found that they pay meticulous attention to detail when it comes to cleaning this resort. No matter how hard our review team looked, we couldn’t find anything to trip them up in this respect.
We also felt that their maintenance staff were proactive and on the ball. Things just worked, and that’s all we ask on holiday.
Sleep Quality
While we felt that the bedrooms were well-appointed and that the beds were more than comfortable enough, there was some noise carry occasionally.
It didn’t ruin our nights’ sleep, but we’d still prefer it if the rooms were insulated against all noise.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
The staff at this resort are excellent, well-mannered, positive, caring and genuinely motivated to provide an exceptional customer experience.
It also seemed clear that they had been empowered to do so rather than seeking permission at every turn to resolve an issue.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in and check-out experience was good enough. We certainly didn’t need to wait around to get into our rooms.
You may also leave bags at the hotel if you need to, prior to checking in or after you have checked out.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are excellent, spacious and comfortable with good water pressure. The little things like toiletries, face towels, etc., are all well done too.
Value For Money
We felt that this hotel was exceptional value for money, particularly because it had so much for us to do.
Sometimes, when we go on holiday, we just want to spend all of our time in the resort, and that means we need things to keep our attention, and they really blew us away here.
Food And Beverage Execution
We really enjoyed every meal at this resort, and the restaurants are on the borderline of being good enough to come back to without even staying here.
Bali’s a great place for food and drinks, though, and we didn’t feel they quite distinguished themselves enough.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Sanur is a nice enough place, a little quiet, but Maya is more removed from the beach than we’d like. Otherwise, there’s plenty of interest within walking distance, and while the roads aren’t great, the area is safe enough.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
Without a doubt, the standout thing about this resort is that it has an incredible amount of facilities and that they are all much better than “good enough”.
You simply can’t get bored here in any reasonable time frame, and that’s a very good thing, indeed.
Overall “Personality”
We felt that this was a very attractive resort, and it looked great in our snaps and social media feed, but we don’t feel that it has a strong enough identity to remember if fondly for years to come, either.
It’s good but not quite great in this respect.
