Cleanliness and Maintenance
This compound is spotless and very well maintained, and we were really impressed with the team’s attention to all the small details.
There’s no doubt that you will sleep soundly, knowing that everything is in perfect condition in this place.
Sleep Quality
The villa can’t help it, but this is a very loud area, and there’s no doubt that there’s some noise leaking into the rooms. It’s not appalling, but if you’re a light sleeper, it may be more than you can handle.
Otherwise, we felt that the beds were comfortable, if a little creaky, and the air-con was good but also a little noisy. We slept fine, but some will not.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
The staff are fabulous, and we really enjoyed every interaction with them throughout our visit to the Teratai Villa Canggu.
They take that Balinese warmth and amp it up to 10 and combine it with real dedication to hospitality.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in and check-out experience is fine; small resorts like this are never going to see huge delays between your arrival and the moment you reach your rooms.
You can ask them to store luggage after check out, too, if you want to see more of Canggu before you depart.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
We felt that the bathrooms were fantastic at Teratai Villa Canggu, and they were big, spacious, and the supplied toiletries and towels were first rate.

Canggu is the number one destination for tourists on the island, and that’s because it has so much to offer, from the world’s best beach club to an extraordinarily diverse range of eateries, bars, clubs and restaurants.
The beaches are pretty good too, and it’s one of the best places to learn to surf anywhere in Indonesia.

The facilities are exactly as advertised and they’re in good condition, there’s just not very many of them.
Overall “Personality”
The hotel is nice enough, but it’s quite austere and minimalist; there’s nothing to really fall in love with in terms of the look and feel.
It looks OK on your Instagram feed, but we can’t imagine thinking much about it in the future.

Staying at Teratai Villa Canggu is a genuine pleasure, and that’s a good thing, because the iNi Vie group isn’t the most consistent of operators (mainly because it’s more of a marketing consortium than a local Hilton or Marriott competitor).
The rooms are nice, though there is some noise carry which might get on some people’s nerves, and overall, we enjoyed our stay.
We’d recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in it, except for really light sleepers.
