Cleanliness and Maintenance
The resort is reasonably clean all of the time, even in the hard-to-reach places. But there’s no doubt that maintenance simply can’t keep up with the age of the place.
The air conditioning is a bit wheezy in some of the rooms, and overall, there are moments where you can see the wear and tear of the years gone by. It’s not going to spoil your stay, but we’ve seen better elsewhere.
Sleep Quality
We’d question the stylistic choice of the bedrooms, and some of the linens look fairly old, but overall, you will get a decent night’s sleep here.
It won’t blow you away with comfort, but there’s very little noise, and no light leaks, and assuming the AC is working properly, the airflow is good.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We felt that the staff were good enough at this resort; they don’t quite have the professional skills of the bigger, more expensive resorts.
But they do make up for this with kindness, care and genuine warmth. We liked the staff a lot.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
The check-in process is adequate to the task, and given this isn’t a large resort, you won’t be waiting very long before you are in your rooms.
Check-out is entirely painless, and they will be happy to store your luggage if you’d like them to before you leave Uluwatu.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are pretty decent, and we liked the toiletries, and the towels are just fine, but the water pressure is really bad.
That’s not an unknown issue in Uluwatu, where the water supply is going through growing pains, but it’s a bit disappointing when you want to wash off the grime after a day in the Bali heat.
Value For Money
We felt that this resort was acceptable value for money, we had a nice time here and didn’t feel cheated, but they could definitely do with investing some money into updating the rooms and amenities as a whole.
Food And Beverage Execution
The food and drinks are also acceptable, and they taste OK and are decently presented, but they’re definitely not a reason to choose this hotel over another, and we wouldn’t come back to Gravity Bali just for the food.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
Uluwatu is a very popular area, but this hotel is pretty far from the beaches, and you’re going to need transportation if you want to see the sands or go surfing.
You’re also not in the best position to explore Bali here, as it’s quite some distance from the main tourist attractions outside of Uluwatu.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The facilities are as advertised, and while they are pretty basic, they are good enough, and that’s really all you can ask from any property.
Overall “Personality”
We confess the decor in some of the rooms here is not to our taste; it feels like it’s forced romantic rather than actually romantic.
However, it’s still a very pleasant resort that, while perhaps not memorable for years to come, makes for a solid choice for a holiday home.

The Gravity Eco-Boutique Hotel is a touch on the eclectic side, and a lot of your happiness with a stay here is going to be based on its unusual sense of aesthetics.
