They work hard to keep things nice at this place, but the whole point of glamping is to be exposed to nature, and that means leaves, bugs, lizards, etc. appear the moment cleaning is finished.
The maintenance team do a good job of keeping things looking new and fresh despite this challenge.
Sleep Quality
If you love the sound of running streams and nature, then the comfortable beds here will see you nodding off in a jiffy.
However, if you need a perfectly quiet environment, you should bring earplugs, particularly for the pre-dawn chorus of frogs in the rice fields.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
We found the staff here to be typically Balinese, by which we mean hospitable, warm, friendly and always willing to help where they can.
This is a small glamping site in the middle of nowhere, so don’t expect quite the same level of polish as you would at the Ritz, but you won’t be disappointed either.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Checking into a tent is always pretty easy, as is checking out, particularly if you pay for any extras you incur as you go along.
However, we should note that you can’t leave any bags here after you check out, it’s not really set up for luggage storage.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
You’re in a field, a long way from most of the usual amenities of Bali, so it shouldn’t come as a huge shock that they don’t have hot water for the showers.
It won’t matter; the island is always warm, and the water’s never cold, but if you need steam rising while you wash, it won’t happen here.

We thought that this place was exceptional value for money, but you do need to be careful which service you book through, for some reason, some of them are half the price of others.

The food here is as good as that in any warung in the neighbourhood, and that’s more than good enough for a couple of nights on the campsite.
However, while it’s very well executed for what it is, we doubt that you’d travel all the way back to Natya River Sidemen just to eat.

Sidemen is a lovely place, and it really does still have some of the old, authentic Bali in its pre-tourism days about it. It’s also super safe and ideal for hiking in the countryside.
However, it’s also a bit off the beaten path, and that means you will need transportation if you want ot explore more of the island.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
You don’t really need much more than the pool and minor facilities on offer here, as mostly, you’ll go out and explore the countryside or the local village, which has plenty to offer visitors.
Overall “Personality”
This is a stunning part of Bali to stay in, and while it may not be the greatest room ever, it doesn’t really need to be.
You’re going to remember your glamping adventure here for years to come because it’s in such a lovely, unspoiled part of the island.

Yes, children of any age group are welcome to stay with parents or guardians at Natya River Sidement. However, children over the age of 6 are counted as adults for billing purposes.

You will also find there’s no kids’ club, babysitting service or any other child-friendly facility at this resort. So, while this might be OK for a night or two, families might find longer stays a little boring unless they are good at making their own entertainment.
