Cleanliness and Maintenance
A resort this size is bound to have a few issues with cleanliness; they’re not major, and nothing feels dirty, but even a cleaning team that works around the clock is going to miss things they should have cleaned under.
Similarly, the maintenance team is clearly proactive, but minor issues will crop up (and they are swiftly dealt with). It’s just a challenge of scale.
Sleep Quality
This is a very private resort in a quiet part of the island. You’re not going to have any issues with noise.
And the bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with large beds, excellent mattresses and pillows and with no light leaks. Sleeping like a baby is easy here.
Staff Attitude And Service Culture
Bali’s service culture is legendary, and the major resorts like this one harness the local friendliness and warmth and marry it to superlative professionalism.
AYANA’s staff are always next level and looking to promote an incredible guest experience.
Check-in/Check-out Experience
Check-in and check-out are both OK. They’re not completely seamless and this is one area that we feel Bali as a whole tends to lag in but they’re not a hindrance either.
The resort will be happy to store luggage for you if you need them to before a flight.
Bathroom Quality & Functionality
The bathrooms are luxurious and spacious. The water pressure is what we expect and there’s no doubt that the toiletries and towels are excellent too.
We’d come back just for these facilities, in fact.
Value For Money
We think AYANA packs so much into the grounds and the quality of its rooms that it’s amazing value for money. While there is plenty of competition at this price bracket, nowhere gives you more than this resort.
Food And Beverage Execution
The resort is abundant with world class fine dining and bars, and while they are on the expensive side even for Bali’s high-end, they are all excellent.
Yes, we’d come back here again and again just to eat, without staying in the resort and frankly, we already do.
Location & Immediate Surroundings
The resort is gorgeous and there’s plenty of space to enjoy things, and it’s like a village in its own right, there’s no need to leave the grounds for the duration of your holiday at all.
However, it’s also a little far from any other ameneties by dint of its size and you will need to use transportation to explore the rest of the island or the area.
Facilities & Amenities Vs Promise
The faciities at AYANA may be without equal in Bali and they not only live up to their promise, many of them are world-class. You simply can’t go wrong if you want things to do, eat, drink, etc.
Overall “Personality”
We found ourselves taking lots of photos at AYANA but we felt that the scale of the place actually limits its “personality” it has many identities rather than one and we felt that parts of the resort would be very memorable in the future but others would not.

We loved AYANA Resort Bali and the wealth of facilities means that it’s an excellent choice for any holidaymaker and particularly for those that just want to enjoy being pampered without leaving the resort very often.
We’d be happy to recommend staying here to anyone. It’s somewhere we come back to regularly for the dining options, alone.

AYANA is extraordinarily family-friendly, and there is a huge amount of things for children to do and programs for them to enjoy.
This includes a nanny service, two kids clubs, themed zones, supervised activities, onsite entertainment, kids menus, interconnecting room options, stroller-friendly paths and family offers and packages.
We can’t imagine a family holiday at AYANA getting boring; it’s an absolutely excellent choice for any family.

AYANA Resort Bali is an absolutely fabulous destination with so much to do that you could probably spend a month here and not see everything it has to offer.
It’s the ideal choice for a family holiday where you want to spend most of your time in the resort and not out exploring the island.
Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here and even the room rates are surprisingly reasonable given how much this place has to offer.
