20 Beachfront Resorts In Bali That Rock

1. Raffles Bali

Raffles Bali is a newcomer to the hotel scene in Bali, but it is without a doubt one of the finest resorts in the world.

If you love private butlers, luxury villas and the very best of absolutely everything, you’ll find it at Raffles.

It was also awarded Michelin Keys in the new Michelin Guide for 2026 and we feel that was very much deserved. The only downside is that it’s expensive, but still great value for money.

2=. Bvlgari Resort Bali

The Bvlgari Resort Bali has all the glitz and glamour that you would associate with this high-fashion brand.

The landscaped pool above the beach is stunning, and there’s so much to do inside the resort that you’ll never get bored.

Now, it is pricey, but our team felt that we got good value for money nonetheless, and the food here is very good, indeed.

2=. Samabe Bali Suites & Villas

This luxury beach hotel complex offers fabulous ocean views and direct beach access.

But what we liked the most is that on arrival, you are offered a range of packages, at no additional cost, that add a ton of value to your holiday, and allow you to customise your experience at Samabe.

We thought the on-site restaurants were good, with one serving Indonesian and Western dishes, and the other Eastern and seafood.

2=. Hyatt Regency Bali

Sanur is fast becoming one of Bali’s most popular beach towns and the big difference beween Sanur and the other beach towns is that there’s an offshore reef protecting the beach.

That means it’s super easy and safe to swim in the sea here which isn’t true on most of the rest of the island.

And the Hyatt Regency is a gorgeous addition to Sanur Beach with plenty to recommend itself to visitors.

5=. The Legian Seminyak

The Legian is all sleek styling and old-school colonial appeal. If you want to be on the beach in Seminyak, there’s no finer accommodation to choose from in this area.

It’s one of the few beach hotels in Bali with its own beach club, and the infinity pool facing out over the sand is fabulous.

We could easily spend two nights here without ever leaving the hotel; it’s one of our favourite Bali properties, it’s just got so much personality.

5=. Four Seasons Resort Bali At Jimbaran Bay

The Four Seasons name is always associated with extraordinary stays, and there’s no exception at Jimbaran Bay.

This is a multiple-award-winning hotel with amazing views and every luxury that you can imagine at hand. We’d rank it as one of the best hotels in Bali, full stop, in fact.

Guests will enjoy luxurious amenities and world-class service at this hotel and while it’s a touch pricey, it’s most definitely worth it.

5=. The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

With seven lagoon-shaped swimming pools and six on-site restaurants and bars, you can be sure that The Laguna has all your basic holiday needs attended to.

We like the app-based check-in and room door controls; there’s no need for keys, you can just use your phone!

The traditional Balinese dance performances in the hotel lobby are a really nice touch, too. We like how they made it easy to connect with the local culture.

5=. Jumeirah Bali

This stunning resort is all about attention to detail and ensuring that the guest experience is second to none.

The beach beds on the sands are among the most comfortable that we’ve ever tried, and the grounds here are green and verdant.

For the members of our team who’ve been to the UAE (where this brand originates from), the Bali resort is the best Jumeirah resort in the world.

5=. Hilton Bali Resort

Hilton Bali Resort is a huge, imposing resort on the Nusa Dua coastline, looking out over the ocean.

Given the reasonable rack rates, this is one of the most popular big brand-name resorts anywhere in Bali.

Yet, the service and facilities are decidedly five-star and we felt that this spot represented excellent value for money.

5=. Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort

The rocky beach below the cliff face at the infinity edge swimming pool is not the star of the show here; it’s the dramatic architecture of the resort itself.

Every room has a spacious hot tub, and there’s nothing we love more than soaking out the aches and pains of the day with a glass of wine in hand.

The villas are the real star of the show at this hotel in Bali and we’d strongly recommend splashing out for the space.

11. Regent Bali Canggu

One of the newest beach hotels in Bali is the Regent Bali Canggu, and it has a very tasteful beach club among its dining and drinking options.

Everything here is very nicely put together, and it’s one of the most refined experiences in Bali’s most popular beach town.

We also like how close it is to the beach and the nightlife in this area, without any of the noise ending up in your room.

12=. AYANA Resort Bali

AYANA is one of the biggest resort compounds in Bali, and it has its own internal bus service to get you from one end of the resort to the other.

Located in Jimbaran, which is famous for its fresh catch of the day, you’re in an ideal spot for enjoying the best that Bali has to offer.

But with so many daily activities and facilities within the hotel grounds, we can imagine that most families will spend days learning to explore the resort rather than going much further afield.

The restaurants at this site are incredible, and among the very best that Bali has to offer.

12=. The Apurva Kempinski Bali

The Apurva Kempinski is a big, showy hotel on the edge of Nusa Dua that some reviewers claim is 6 or even 7 stars.

Well, star ratings don’t work like that, but this place is definitely at the pinnacle of 5-star resorts on the island.

We love this place for its family-friendly appeal and unique touches like the Koral Restaurant, which is essentially in an aquarium!

14=. The St. Regis Bali Resort

Nusa Dua is Bali’s premier beach town, and it has big appeal to families seeking a luxury break where they spend most of their time in the hotel.

The St. Regis Bali Resort is a legend in Nusa Dua with the onsite restaurant famous for the best brunch on the island.

It offers amazing ocean views from most of the villas and suites here, and everything is elevated above the ordinary.

We can’t imagine anyone regretting spending several nights at this property and we’d go back for the breakfast alone.

14=. The Ritz-Carlton, Bali

The Ritz-Carlton brand has long been associated with luxury, and the Nusa Dua location doesn’t let you down on that front.

The suites and villas here all offer a minimum 100 square meters of space (and many offer rather more).

The set up includes a wonderful wellness centre, private pools, and much more. We love how elegant this place is. It makes us want to doff a linen suit for cocktail hour.

16=. The Oberoi Beach Resort

The Oberoi is an excellent option with an ocean view in Seimnyak. The pool area is legendary, and the private beach access is a nice touch, too.

The fitness center is one of the best-equipped on the island, and there’s no doubt that the rooms here are full of beautiful people who are vibing with the beach cool of Seminyak.

The Oberoi is also next to the Seminyak Flea Market, which is one of the best open-air tourist markets on the island.

It’s one of the more reasonably priced offerings on this list, and yet, we consistently felt like we were getting a great deal.

The breakfast here is fabulous, and all the other guests we spoke to felt that they’d had an excellent time here.

16=. Intercontinental Bali Resort by IHG

If you want a family-friendly property that won’t bankrupt you and has an absolute ton of stuff to keep your kids interested and having fun, this is the hotel for you.

The Intercontinental Bali is, without a doubt, one of the best hotels around for amenities and facilities.

The stretch of white sand beach running alongside the property is no slouch either, and you’re bound to want to come back again and again to this hotel.

19. COMO Uma Canggu

COMO Uma Canggu is getting a little old now, but there’s life in the place, yet, and this spot on Echo Beach ensures you can watch some of the best surfing on the island even if you don’t surf yourself.

The accommodation is good, and the beach club is excellent for family-friendly fun and even (occasionally) for pet-friendly fun too.

Sitting on the balconies here with a glass of something nice in the sun is a real treat.

20. Andaz Bali

Andaz Bali is a great Hyatt resort in Sanur, and it’s one of those beach hotels where you immediately feel at home.

Our team enjoyed the breakfasts here very much, and the free bicycle rentals are great, as you can then work the breakfast off by cycling the beach path.

Adults will love that there’s a small adults-only section of this complex with an awesome jacuzzi to try out!

FAQs

Which Part Of Bali Has The Nicest Beaches?

It depends on the kind of sand you want, the activities you want to enjoy, etc./ but if you need a single answer, we think the white sands of Nusa Dua’s beaches are those most typically associated with “nice beaches”.

This area by the Indian Ocean is full of beachfront hotels, luxury villas, etc. and it tends to attract families looking for big brand names.

If you want a kids’ club, tend to use the hotel’s amenities a lot and are seeking more of a family break than a romantic getaway, then getting accommodation in Nusa Dua could well be your best option.

What Is The Nicest Part Of Bali To Stay In?

It very much depends on what you want out of a break in Bali, but we think Canggu is the best part of the island, and it’s currently the most popular area too.

That’s because it’s got so much to see and do, from the world’s best beach club at FINNS, to some of the finest beginner’s surfing spots, to horse riding and pottery classes.

Canggu also has the best nightlife in Bali, right now, and a vibrant dining scene which offers something for everyone from humble warungs to world-class fine dining.

However, there are only a limited number of beachfront hotels in Canggu due to the majority of the waterfront being used for restaurants, beach clubs, etc.

Is Seminyak Or Nusa Dua Better?

Seminyak Beach area is for the young, free and single and couples looking to mingle with other hip folks. It’s more expensive than most parts of Bali, but it has some of the best fine dining and shopping to offset things.

There are a ton of beach hotels in this area, and almost every swimming pool has a pool bar and palm trees to provide shade while you sip handcrafted cocktails with an awesome ocean view.

Nusa Dua, on the other hand, tends to cater more to the high-end family crowd, with panoramic views of the ocean and sand from almost every resort, and it’s the perfect spot for relaxing on a property with your little ones and enjoying amazing amenities.

It’s not a great spot to explore the rest of the island from, but that’s OK, this corner of Indonesia tends to attract people who just want a trip focused on chilling by the pool.

Where Did Kim Kardashian Stay In Bali?

Kim Kardashian stayed in the private villas offered by Soori Bali, one of the most expensive and exclusive complexes in Bali. She would have enjoyed a private pool (or four, in fact), tropical gardens, coconut palms, a private chef whipping up Indonesian dishes and much more. But at over $1,000 a night for the cheapest rooms… Soori Bali is not for everyone.

And you should know that even if you did stay here at the same time as the Kardashians, you wouldn’t be allowed to mix or meet with them.

Final Thoughts On The Best Beach Hotels In Bali

A good beach hotel in Bali can provide an unforgettable experience that you will remember for two decades or more after your stay.

However, choosing the right hotel can be hard work; you want more than just great service, you want a hotel with all the facilities you need, in the sun and the right location.

Each destination above has been carefully curated as one of the best experiences in Bali for a beachfront resort. So, whichever one you choose, you’re guaranteed to have an amazing time.
