The AYANA Resort (which also contains another resort, RIMBA by AYANA) is on the largest hotel compound imaginable.
There’s a bus service supplied by the hotel to get you from one end to the other! And that’s OK, because all that space isn’t empty.
You get an almost endless number of restaurants, bars, snack stations, etc., here, and so many facilities (they even have a museum!) that you could never get bored.
AYANA is one of the finest places for a vacation on the islan,d and if you have children, it ought to be one of your shortlisted options for a family holiday.

The Surga is a legendary wedding destination in Bali, and the views from here are exquisite.
So, if you’re planning to tie the knot during your stay on the Island of Gods, this should be somewhere that you take a close look at.

You should be aware, though, that you have to book for a minimum of 3 nights, which can make staying at The Surga very pricey, indeed.

We don’t recommend taking young children because it can be a bit awkward to get around at times, but otherwise? We would love to spend more time at Capella Ubud.

The W Hotel has a lot going for it (though the on-site beach club is currently closed for renovation), and if you like upscale, funky, and youthful, it might be what you’re looking for.

It’s in a fabulous location for nightlife and partying, and Seminyak is also home to some superb fine dining.
Our only complaint was that the hotel dining is a bit pricey for what it is, but otherwise, it’s a great choice for a holiday.

Get out and snap some photos and your Instagram feed is bound to make your friends back home jealous of your time on this paradise island.
Overall, we can’t think of many places in the world where you’ll get as an upmarket experience as One Eleven provides for so little money.

This resort is often called “7-star” by the over enthusiastic press but there’s no such thing as a 6 or 7 star resort. Five is the max.

They have the island’s only acquarium restaurant, an excellent beach club, more swimming pools than you will know what to do with and more.
Overall, if you want an enjoyable family holiday where you spend a lot of time in the resort, this is a great choice.

Padma Resort Legian is recessed just away from the beach and it enjoys an incredible number of swimming pools so that you don’t need to swim in the ocean unless you really want to.
It also has a tennis court, kids club, fitness centre, spa, and more restaurants than you can count.
Overall, for a resort of this scale, they do a great job of keeping things in shapre and running as they should.
It’s also surprisingly cheap for a 5-star resort in this location, and if you want a top-notch beach vacation, it’s a star.

The Edge, as the name suggests, is on a cliff edge high above the beach at Uluwatu, and the infinity pool here is a serious sensation thanks to this.
And we can’t deny that you get some of the most epic views in Bali here, and this island has a lot of incredible views.
The only downside is that due to its remote location, the Internet at this hotel is often really bad, so don’t come here if you need to work.
Otherwise, it’s a great place for getting away from it all and really relaxing.
